Steps:
- Cook the venison thoroughly in large skillet with the chopped onions and peppers, saving some peppers for garnish. Drain. Transfer meat into large sauce pan. Stir in the other remaining ingredients. Cook on low-medium heat on stove top until melted (about 15-20 minutes). Place the cheese dip mixture in a serving bowl. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese and remaining peppers and onions. Serve warm with slices of baguette bread and/or tortilla chips. Great hit at a Super Bowl party!
EASY BEEF NACHO CHEESE DIP
While it may not always look appetizing, this dip is always gone when we make it for parties or family events. Everyone asks for the recipe and can't believe how easy it is. Sometimes we substitute ground turkey for the ground beef and no one can tell the difference.

Steps:
- Brown ground beef and add taco seasoning as directed on packet. We usually use a little less water though.
- Chunk the Velveeta and add to crockpot.
- Pour in jar of salsa and add the prepared meat.
- Let melt together in the crockpot, stirring occasionally.
- At times, we have been in a hurry and used the microwave to help speed up the melting process for the Velveeta. Then just add the melted Velveeta to the other ingredients in the crockpot to keep warm and melty for dipping!
- We have also used Mexican style Velveeta and Pepper jack, and it was just as good. Feel free to experiment.
VENISON CHEESE DIP
This recipe comes from a Taste of Home cookbook. Neighbor gave me some ground venison, had to figure a way of using it. Very tasty dip. Good to munch on while watching a football game. I've listed it "as is," but would recommend a little less chili sauce and a little more garlic when you make it. My kids loved it as did I. BTW, I added a little hot sauce to my serving- very good!

- In a Dutch oven, pour in entire jar of canned venison (including liquid). Cut up onions in large chunks, so that they can easily be removed from the Dutch oven later. I only cut my onions two times each. Add onions, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and minced garlic to Dutch oven.
- On a low setting, heat the meat for as long as you please and shred before serving. I’ve done it from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Since the meat is already cooked, you can leave this in the Dutch oven for any amount of time.
- When ready to serve, remove the onions and toss. Strain the meat from the liquid, and keep the liquid as your au jus dipping sauce. Spoon a little bit of liquid back into the pot with meat to give it some moisture.
- On a sub roll, add meat and cheese before placing in the oven at 350 degrees for 4 minutes. Serve next to a cup of au jus.
