OVERNIGHT OATS: NO-COOK BLUEBERRY-ALMOND OATMEAL

Overnight Oats: No-Cook Blueberry-Almond Oatmeal image

Throw together this healthy oatmeal the night before and enjoy it the next morning. We love it cold, but if you prefer a little warmth, remove the lid and microwave the oatmeal until hot, about 1 minute.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Time 6h10m

Yield Serves 1

Number Of Ingredients 10

3/4 cup nonfat milk
1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/3 cup blueberries

1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 drops pure almond extract
Kosher salt
1 tablespoon toasted sliced almonds
2 teaspoons honey or agave nectar

BLUEBERRY VANILLA PROTEIN OATMEAL

Blueberry Vanilla Protein Oatmeal image

Proats are the perfect way to start your day! This Blueberry Vanilla Protein Oatmeal recipe is an excellent way to add protein to your breakfast. Creamy, delicious protein powder oatmeal mixed with fresh blueberries will help keep you full well past lunchtime!

Provided by Erin Indahl-Fink

Categories     Breakfast

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/4 c. water
1/2 c. old fashioned rolled oats
pinch salt
2 oz. (1 serving) Vanilla Protein Powder, or preferred protein powder
1/2 c. fresh or frozen blueberries
1 Tbsp. plain Greek yogurt (I prefer full-fat)
1 Tbsp. slivered almonds

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, cook oatmeal according to package directions, making sure to use 1 1/4 cup water. The extra water is necessary to help absorb the protein powder.
  • When the oatmeal is done cooking, stir in the protein powder. Cover and let the oatmeal sit for a couple minutes. Stir in the blueberries. Pour into bowl, and top with yogurt and almonds if desired. Enjoy right away.

BLUEBERRY OATMEAL

Blueberry Oatmeal image

Oatmeal is a great way to start the day and this is a recipe I have developed over the years. It's delicious, light, and great with milk to help cool it down. You can replace the milk with soy milk, if desired. You can add the blueberries earlier in the cooking process if you like them hotter and plumper.
