TURKEY BACON WRAP

These easy turkey bacon wraps are a tasty and protein-packed lunch idea!

1 tortilla
sliced turkey
2-3 pieces of cooked bacon*
1-2 tomato slices
lettuce or baby spinach
2 Tbsp Greek yogurt or dijon mustard
Optional: avocado or cheese
Optional: additional veggies, like grated carrots, broccoli slaw, etc.

Steps:

  • Lay tortilla flat, then spread Greek yogurt across it.
  • Add sliced turkey and bacon on top.
  • Lay tomato slices, additional veggies, and lettuce/spinach on top of the meat.
  • Add optional avocado and/or cheese.
  • Wrap the tortilla like a burrito, keeping everything inside.
  • Cut in half or enjoy as is!

Wraps are like healthier versions of sandwiches, and make easy lunches! Here's how to make a delicious bacon turkey club wrap with avocado!

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 strips uncured, nitrite-free bacon
1 wrap or large tortilla
Roasted red pepper hummus (plain, garlic, and other flavors are also fine)
3 slices nitrate-free turkey
1/2 avocado
1/2 medium-sized tomato
1 large lettuce leaf
Italian seasoning (optional)
Onion powder (optional)
Garlic powder (optional)

Steps:

  • Cook your bacon. You only need 3 strips, but I went ahead and cooked the whole package of bacon and put the extras in the fridge to use throughout the week. I kept the bacon fat in a stainless steel grease can to use later.
  • Lay out your wrap. Spread a generous amount of hummus over it.
  • Place your 3 slices of turkey. I folded up each slice in half and arranged them in a row to keep the amount of meat even across the wrap. Top the turkey with your bacon strips.
  • Slice your half of an avocado and put the slices on top of the bacon.
  • Slice your half of a tomato and put the slices on top of the avocado.
  • Chop up your lettuce leaf and distribute it on top of the tomato.
  • If you used nitrate-free meat like me, you'll probably want to add a couple shakes of Italian seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder. That's because one of the unfortunate side effects of not having harmful nitrates in your meat is slightly less default flavor. The spices are a natural way to help bring the delicious turkey and bacon flavors back out!
  • Finally, roll up your wrap. Slice it in half, then serve!

4 slices smoked turkey
2 slices bacon (cooked, crumbled)
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
2 Tbs ranch dressing
1 medium tomato (sliced)
2 leaves lettuce (I prefer romaine for the best crunch)

Steps:

  • Lay the tortillas out on your counter.
  • Spread ranch dressing over the center of tortilla.
  • Add turkey, cheese, bacon, tomato, and romaine.
  • Fold sides in and then roll up.
  • Cut into pinwheels, or just halve.
  • Devour!

1/2 cup mustard-mayonnaise blend
4 flour tortillas (10 inch)
1/2 lb thinly sliced smoked turkey
1/2 lb thinly sliced honey-roasted ham
1 cup shredded smoked provolone cheese or 1 cup mozzarella cheese
2 cups shredded leaf lettuce
2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1/2 small purple onion, chopped
8 bacon, slices cooked and crumbled
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Spread mustard-mayo blend evenly over 1 side of each tortilla, leaving a 1/2 inch border.
  • Layer turkey and next 6 ingredients evenly over tortillas; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Roll up tortilla; cut in half diagonally, and secure with wooden picks.
