TUCANOS GRILLED PINEAPPLE
How simple can this be...The first time we went to Tucanos and I had the Grilled Pineapple it was so Yummy I had to find the recipe and finally found it on line...It is like eating pineapple and cotton candy at the same time...It is sooo good I can eat it year round....I hope you enjoy this as much as we do...I don't have picture...

Steps:
- 1. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar in a shallow bowl. Heat up the grill to medium heat. Before putting the pineapple down on grill, roll the spears in brown sugar and cinnamon mixture. This will bring out the sweetness and instant caramelizing when they hit the grill.
- 2. Heat the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon mixture in a pan, till hot and bubbly, brown sugar should be melted.
- 3. Grill the pineapple spears over direct heat about 2-3 minutes per side, turn occasionally. Each time it turns, baste with glaze. When finished, place on platter and drizzle with remaining mixture of butter, brown sugar and cinnamon..or you may dip it in while eating them...

- Then cut off the skin of the fresh pineapple. We looked up a youtube video of this part and I suggest you do the same if it is your first time.Next slice the pineapple into about 10 equal slices and cut out the core.
- Now place all the slices in a pan (9x13 works best, ours had jello in it). Completely coat the pineapple in the butter and sugar mixture by pouring the mixture over the pineapple slowly.
- Let the pineapple marinate in the sauce until you are ready to start grilling. When you do start grilling, grill at a medium temperature until the pineapple has golden brown grill lines and is warm all the way through. With the slices this should go fairly quick. If you’re using whole fresh pineapple that is not sliced you will have to grill in stages and you may want to apply more butter and sugar mix as you continue to cut off the outer layers.
