Cooks Notes: You can use any citrus you have around at the time but is worth a couple of extra dollars for some heirloom varieties.

1 cup brandy
1/2 cup orange liqueur
1/4 cup sugar, super fine
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 pint raspberries
1 lime, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
2 bottles sparkling wine or cava, chilled

Steps:

  • In a large pitcher, combine the brandy, and orange liqueur. Pour in the sugar, stir or shake the pitcher thoroughly to mix until the sugar dissolves. Add all the fruit at once. Add the cava and serve as is or on ice.

1 bottle Pinot Grigio
24 oz 7-Up
2 oz brandy
2 oz Grand Marnier
Tropical fruits

Steps:

  • Cut all of your fruit into cubes or slices and add to a pitcher or container.
  • Pour wine over the fruit.
  • Add 7UP, followed by brandy and Grand Marnier.
  • Stir gently to mix all liquid.
  • We recommend chilling overnight, but if you just can't wait, you can add some ice to your glasses.
  • Serve cold over some pieces of fruit and enjoy.

2 limes, sliced thin
2 small carambolas (star fruit, available at specialty produce markets), sliced thin crosswise
1 chilled 750-ml. bottle dry white wine
1 chilled 12-ounce can mango nectar
1 mango, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 chilled 12-ounce can ginger ale
1 chilled 750-ml. bottle champagne

Steps:

  • Reserve some of the lime and carambola slices for garnish. In a large pitcher stir together the white wine, the mango nectar, the mango, and the remaining lime and carambola slices. The sangría may be prepared up to this point 1 day in advance and kept covered and chilled. Just before serving, stir in the ginger ale, the champagne, and ice cubes and serve the sangría garnished with the reserved lime and carambola slices.

2 oranges , chopped
2 pears , chopped
2 lemons , 1 chopped, 1 juiced
200g red berries , chopped (we used strawberries and cherries)
3 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
ice
750ml bottle light red wine
100ml Spanish brandy
300ml sparkling water

Steps:

  • Put the chopped fruit in a bowl and sprinkle over the sugar and cinnamon, then stir to coat. Cover and leave to macerate in the fridge for at least 1 hr, or ideally overnight.
  • Fill a large jug with ice. Stir the macerated fruit mixture to ensure the sugar is dissolved, then tip into the jug with the wine and brandy. Stir, then top up with the sparkling water and serve.

1 small cantaloupe, seeded and scooped into balls
1 small honeydew melon, seeded and scooped into balls
1 bottle moscato wine, (750 ml)
2 limes, juiced
2 tablespoons honey
1 bottle sparkling wine, such as Prosecco or Brut (750 ml)
2 limes, sliced into wheels
1 melon baller
1 large pitcher, or punch bowl, for serving

Steps:

  • In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew balls, Moscato wine, lime juice, and honey and stir well. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, up to overnight.
  • Before serving, pour in the sparkling wine and add the lime wheels.
  • Ladle the sangria and fruit into glasses and serve.

  • In a blender add: 1 cup of fresh pineapple, juice of one orange (about 1/2 cup), juice of one lemon (about 1/3 cup), and the peeled and chopped fresh kiwi.
  • Blend until smooth then pour the mixture through a strainer to remove any pulp. If you have a juicer, you can use it for this step and leave the peeled orange, lemon, and kiwi whole. I also like to juice the apple into the mix when using this method.
