TOMATO SOUP SPAGHETTI SAUCE

Steps:

• Cook hamburger and onion til burger is done.
• Add everything else but water - combine.
• Add water until slightly thinner than you want sauce and simmer until desired thickness.
• Serve.
• Once you try this, adjust spices to suit your own taste.

SIMPLE SPAGHETTI WITH TOMATO SAUCE

Steps:

• Cook the oil, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper flakes in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring, until the oil heats up and the garlic just starts to turn golden, 4 to 6 minutes.
• Add the tomatoes; rinse the can with about 1 cup of water, and add the water to the skillet. Add the basil, raise the heat to medium-high and simmer until the sauce thickens, 15 to 20 minutes.
• Meanwhile, add the spaghetti to the boiling water, and cook according to package directions; strain well.
• Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce, and stir to coat. Serve with Parmesan if desired.

SPAGHETTI (WITH MUSHROOM SOUP?!)

Steps:

• Brown the ground beef, onion and garlic in olive oil with bay leaves, oregano, basil, Italian Seasoning, salt.
• Add tomato paste, mushroom soup, sugar, and diced tomatoes.
• Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
• Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
• Use sauce to top your cooked spaghetti.

EASY TOMATO BASIL SAUCE FOR SOUP OR PASTA

Steps:

• Dice all veg, press garlic and saute in stock pot with olive oil until slightly softened. Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce along with sugar, salt, pepper, hot pepper flakes, parsley, and celery salt. (if you're using dried basil add it along with the other herbs) If you're using fresh basil, reserve 8 basil leaves to add at the end of cooking. Cook for 1 hour on medium heat. Keep an eye on the sauce and stir frequently. After the hour simmering add tomato paste and adjust salt and pepper to your taste. Cook for an additional 30 minutes on low.
• I choose to blend my sauce. I use an immersion blender directly in the pot and puree the sauce lightly. I then add the remaining basil leaves to the pot. When I serve this sauce on pasta, I drizzle Extra Virgin Olive Oil over the top. If you add the cream, add it right before you serve.
• This sauce lends well to Tomato Basil Soup. Add 2 Cups of the prepared sauce to 4 Cups Veggie or Chicken Stock, simmering until it's steaming hot.

TOMATO AND PASTA SOUP

Steps:

• Heat oil in large pan; cook garlic and onion, stirring, until onion is soft.
• Add soup, tomatoes, water and pasta.
• Bring to boil; simmer uncovered, about 10 minutes or until pasta is just tender.
• Stir in basil.
• Serve with the bacon sprinkled on top (if using).

BAKED SPAGHETTI WITH TOMATO SOUP

Steps:

• Cook spaghetti according to directions (al dente).
• Meanwhile, fry bacon pieces till crisp then remove.
• Fry onions in bacon drippings till tender.
• Drain some of the grease, if excessive but leave a moderate amount for flavor.
• To same pan add bacon, 3 cans of tomato soup and season to taste.
• Toss soup mixture with drained spaghetti. Add 4th can of soup to mixture, if you feel it needs added moisture (some will be absorbed by the noodles).
• Place mixture in a 9 x 13 casserole dish and top with crushed crackers (optional).
• Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or till heated through.
