- Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, mix flour and confectioners' sugar; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly., Press into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Bake 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix egg, milk and vanilla. Fold in toffee bits and pecans. Spoon over crust. Bake until golden brown, 24-26 minutes. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into bars.

These Toffee Pecans (also referred to as butter toffee pecans, candied pecans, praline pecans and caramelized pecans) come together on the stovetop in about 5 minutes. They're perfect for snacking, as a holiday gift and for tossing into salads.

- Line a cooking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the butter in a large pot over low heat until melted.
- Increase your heat to medium-low and add the sugars, salt, and vanilla.
- Stir briskly until the mixture thickens.
- Add the pecans and stir constantly so the nuts are coated evenly. Continue to stir until the sugar begins to caramelize and turns brown (approximately 5-7 minutes).
- Pour the pecan mixture onto the cookie sheet and separate the nuts with two forks.
- When the nuts have cooled completely, place them in an airtight container. They will stay good for 3-5 days.
PECAN PRALINE TOFFEE BITES

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line 2 muffin tins with muffin liners.
- Add butter, brown sugar and salt to a medium saucepan on medium high and cook and stir for 3 minutes or until sugar is dissolved and bubbling.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the mixture with the graham crackers.
- Spoon into muffin liners and sprinkle the pecans over the top.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until fully cooled.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Bake the pecans in a single layer in a shallow pan 10 to 12 minutes or until toasted and fragrant, stirring halfway through.
- Line a 15-by-10-inch jelly-roll pan or a 9.5-by-13-inch casserole dish with aluminum foil; lightly grease the foil with baking spray. Arrange the graham crackers in a single layer in the prepared pan, slightly overlapping the edges.
- Combine the sugar, butter and cream in a medium-size heavy saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat and stir in the vanilla and pecans. Pour the butter mixture over the crackers, spreading to coat.
- Bake for 10 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly. Immediately sprinkle with the salt, lift the foil from the pan and slide the bark off the foil onto a wire rack. Cool completely, 30 minutes to an hour. Break into bite-size pieces.

- In large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. On low speed, beat in flour and salt just until blended. Stir in pecans and toffee bits. Divide dough in half; shape each half into 14x1 1/2-inch log. Wrap in plastic wrap; refrigerate 3 hours.
- Heat oven to 325°F. Line cookie sheets with cooking parchment paper. Unwrap dough; cut into 1/4-inch slices. On cookie sheets, place slices 1 inch apart.

- Heat oven to 375°F. Grease bottom and sides of 15x10x1-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray (do not use dark pan).
- In large bowl, beat 3/4 cup butter and 1/3 cup brown sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg; beat until well blended. On low speed, beat in flour until dough begins to form. Press dough in pan.
- Bake 12 to 17 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Meanwhile, in 2-quart saucepan, heat 1 cup butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar and the corn syrup to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently. Boil 2 minutes without stirring.
- Quickly stir pecans into corn syrup mixture; spread over partially baked crust. Bake 20 to 23 minutes or until filling is golden brown and bubbly.
- Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over hot bars. Let stand 5 minutes to soften. With rubber spatula, gently swirl melted chips over bars. Cool completely, about 1 hour. For bars, cut into 24 squares (6 rows by 4 rows), then cut each square in half to make triangles. Store in refrigerator.

- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl; whisk until well combined.
- Place butter and brown sugar in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add egg whites and vanilla extract, and beat for 1 more minute. PECAN TOFFEE
Steps:
- Line 9-inch square baking pan with foil, overlapping sides. Butter foil. Melt 1 cup butter in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar and cream of tartar and stir until sugar dissolves. Increase heat to medium-high. Brush down sides of pan with wet pastry brush. Cook until mixture registers 310°F. on candy thermometer, stirring occasionally, about 11 minutes.
- Immediately pour toffee into prepared pan. Let stand 1 minute. Sprinkle with chocolate. Let stand 2 minutes to soften. Spread chocolate with back of spoon over toffee until melted and spoon over toffee until melted and smooth. Sprinkle with pecans. Refrigerate until firm. Remove toffee from pan, using foil as aid. Break into 3-inch pieces. (Can be prepared 4 days ahead. Chill in airtight container.)
