HUNGARIAN PAPRIKA SOUR CREAM PORK CHOPS
An easy and delicious Hungarian paprika sour cream pork chops recipe using traditional Hungarian sweet paprika... These tender and juicy pork chops smothered in a spicy sour cream sauce are sure to be a new family favorite!

Steps:
- Season pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper. Drizzle the olive oil in a large skillet set over medium-high heat. Brown pork chops on both sides, then remove the browned chops to a plate.
- Add the butter to the skillet and sauté the onion slices over medium heat until translucent. Add the garlic and sauté for about one additional minute. Then add the broth to the skillet and use a wooden spatula to scrape up any brown bits from the bottom.
- Add the bay leaf, paprika, and salt to the onion mixture, and then place pork chops back in the skillet. Cover tightly, and reduce the heat. Simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.
- Remove the chops to a plate again and cover with aluminum foil. Remove the bay leaf from the remaining hot liquid.
- Whisk the flour and water together well, and pour them into the broth mixture. Heat the sauce to boiling, whisking constantly. Allow to reduce and thicken. Remove the skillet from the heat and let cool slightly. Stir the sour cream into the gravy mixture and return the pork chops to the sour cream sauce.

- Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat; brown meat. Transfer meat to a 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender, 6-8 minutes. Add garlic and paprika; cook 1 minute longer. Pour over meat. - Cook noodles according to package directions. , Meanwhile, combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme and oregano; rub over pork chops. In a large skillet, brown chops in oil. Add broth and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160°, turning once. Remove chops and keep warm., Stir the cream cheese, butter and mustards into the skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened. Drain noodles; add to skillet and toss to coat. - Combine sage, salt and pepper and rub the chops on both sides with the mixture. Brown chops on both sides, lightly, in hot fat. Drain off excess fat. Add the onions and consomme. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, or until the meat is almost done.
- Combine sour cream and flour and pour it over the chops. Simmer, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and serve. Use the extra sauce over white rice, wide egg noodles, or mashed potatoes.

I got this off the internet some time ago, I can't quite remember where...I know the combination sounds strange...but the pork chops fall apart and EVERYONE that tries it, LOVES it!!!

Steps:
- Season chops as you would normally season your meat.
- Brown chops under broiler 20 minutes or in non-stick skillet, just until brown.
- Place in Crockpot.
- In large bowl, combine all other ingredients except egg noodles.
- The sauce should resemble the thickness of gravy to adhere to the noodles.
- Pour sauce over pork chops in the Crockpot.
- Be sure chops are covered by the sauce.
- Cook on low 8-10 hours.
- Serve over bed of egg noodles.
- *Originalcooks notes: I used 8 chops to ensure leftovers.
- You can use 4, but you will be left with a lot of sauce.

GARLIC-THYME PORK CHOPS
There won't be any doubt about what's for dinner when broiling pork chops fill the kitchen with the smell of thyme, garlic, and apple.

- Place pork chops on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Arrange onions around pork chops. Set pan in oven and adjust oven rack so that top of meat is 4 to 5 inches from broiler element. Remove pan and chops. Preheat broiler. Return pan to the broiler and broil, without turning, for 9 minutes.
- Meanwhile, for glaze, in a medium saucepan bring apple juice or vermouth to boiling; boil uncovered on high for 5 to 6 minutes or until reduced to 1/2 cup.
- Meanwhile, combine cornstarch with cold water; stir into apple juice or vermouth. Cook and stir until slightly thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Remove from heat. Stir in oil, garlic, 2 tablespoons of the fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon of the dried thyme, the pepper, and salt. Remove 2 tablespoons of the glaze and set aside. Turn pork; broil 9 to 13 minutes more or until juices run clear. Using a pastry brush, coat pork chops and onions with glaze during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Remove onions to a small serving bowl. Remove pork chops to serving platter or dish. Stir the reserved glaze and the remaining thyme into onions. Pass with pork chops. Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs, if desired.
