This is a wonderful Vietnamese stir fry dish with beef and green beans. Serve over hot rice.

1 clove garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 pound sirloin tips, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
½ onion, thinly sliced
2 cups fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
¼ cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon soy sauce

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine garlic, black pepper, cornstarch, and 1 teaspoon vegetable oil. Add beef, and mix well.
  • In a large wok, heat 2 tablespoons oil over high heat for one minute. Add meat; cook and stir for about 2 minutes, or until beef begins to brown. Transfer beef to a large bowl, and set aside.
  • Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in wok. Add onion; cook and stir until tender. Mix in green beans, and add broth. Cover, and reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, or until beans are tender crisp. Stir in soy sauce and beef. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 or 2 minutes, or until heated through.

A simple, tasty Asian style Stirfry dish with a slightly spicy kick and a whole lot of flavor. Serves two but can easily be made in larger portions for a family meal.

2 cups uncooked rice, of your choice I used whole grain brown
1 cup broccoli floret
1/2 cup baby carrots
1/2 cup cooked chicken, cubed
1/2 cup cooked steak, cubed
1 cup canola oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons honey
1 pinch salt (to taste)
1 pinch black pepper (to taste)
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes (to taste)
1/4 teaspoon italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Heat large skillet on stovetop over medium high heat.
  • Add soy sauce and canola oil to skillet and bring to a boil.
  • Add chicken, steak, carrots, and broccoli.
  • Reduce heat to medium.
  • Stir in all other ingredients except rice.
  • Cook for roughly 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Cook rice according to packet or box.
  • Divide rice evenly between two bowls.
  • Spoon Stirfry vegetables and meat from the skillet and divide evenly between the two bowls, leaving the soy sauce and oil liquid.
  • Serve warm and enjoy.
