2 tablespoons olive oil
40 uncooked medium shrimp
2 cloves crushed garlic
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
½ cup white wine
3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, or more to taste
½ cup teriyaki marinade
2 (16 ounce) packages frozen deluxe stir-fry vegetables
2 cups hot cooked white rice

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a wok over medium heat. Add shrimp, garlic, garlic powder, and ginger. Cook until shrimp are opaque, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Add brown sugar and sesame seeds. Blend in white wine, teriyaki sauce, and teriyaki marinade and bring to a boil. Add frozen vegetables and return to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook until vegetables are heated through and tender, 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Serve stir-fry over a bed of rice.

8 skewers
1 cup teriyaki sauce
½ cup vegetable oil
1 bunch cilantro, chopped
2 limes, juiced
1 clove garlic, chopped
½ teaspoon red chile flakes
32 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 (8 ounce) cans pineapple chunks (such as Dole®), drained
2 green bell peppers, chopped
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
3 tablespoons shredded coconut

Steps:

  • Place skewers in a baking dish or tray and cover with water. Soak for 2 hours.
  • Combine teriyaki sauce, oil, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, and red chile flakes in a large bowl. Add shrimp and marinate for 1 hour.
  • Thread 4 shrimp, pineapple, and bell pepper onto each skewer in an alternating pattern.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Grill skewers until shrimp are opaque throughout and vegetables are tender, basting with hoisin sauce, about 4 minutes on each side. Serve with coconut sprinkled on top.

  • Whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, pineapple juice, water, vegetable oil, and garlic together in a large bowl; drop beef slices into the mixture and stir to coat. Cover bowl with plastic wrap.

Delicious and simple grilled shrimp kabobs with a homemade teriyaki marinade.

1 pound large shrimp, cleaned
5 tablespoons water
5 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 inch fresh ginger, grated
Brown Rice, for serving
frozen teriyaki vegetables, for side

Steps:

  • Stir together teriyaki ingredients well. If you don't want any chunks in your sauce, pulse it in a food processor until mostly smooth. You can also cook it down some in a medium saucepan if you want a thicker sauce.
  • Clean shrimp well and devein if necessary. Then add shrimp to marinade and let sit for 10 minutes. Be sure to pour off some of the marinade for a sauce if you want to use it later.
  • Preheat grill to high heat and skewer shrimp on 4 skewers for kabobs.
  • Add skewers to grill and cook over high heat for 3 minutes. Then flip and cook for another 2 minutes. Brush the shrimp with the marinade as they cook.
  • Serve shrimp immediately with rice and steamed veggies.

Fresh shrimp, sweet pineapple, and crunchy red bell pepper threaded onto skewers and slathered in homemade teriyaki sauce. Served on a bed of fluffy couscous and garnished with green onions!

1 ½ lb raw peeled shrimp
1 cup quinoa
2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
4 cloves garlic, minced
2-inch piece ginger root, minced
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup honey
¼ cup rice vinegar
¼ cup water
4 tsp cornstarch
1 small pineapple, cored and medium diced
2 red bell peppers, medium diced
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 small bunch green onions, sliced

Steps:

  • If using wooden skewers, place 12-16 skewers in a shallow dish of water to soak until you are ready to use them.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine quinoa and broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
  • In a small saucepan, whisk together garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, and vinegar. Bring to a boil over high heat and cook until slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, make a slurry by whisking water with cornstarch until smooth.
  • Add cornstarch slurry to the saucepan in a steady stream while stirring quickly. Cook, stirring often, until sauce thickens, 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Thread shrimp, pineapple, and bell peppers onto skewers and place them on a plate. Spoon sauce over both sides of skewers. Alternatively, you can cook the shrimp, pineapple, and bell pepper pieces directly on the grill/skillet without using skewers.
  • Heat a large grill pan, outdoor grill, or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Coat the grill pan or skillet with oil. Cooking in batches if necessary, place kabobs on the grill. Cook 2 minutes, then flip and cook 2 minutes more, until shrimp are cooked through.
  • To serve, divide quinoa and kabobs between plates. Top with green onions and enjoy!

You can add bell pepper or onion to these kabobs. I served them at a party so I used the 21-25 count shrimp and they were devoured. Can be an appetizer or a main dish, depending on your presentation.

1 lb large shrimp, shelled and deveined (I used 21-25 per pound)
1/3 cup teriyaki marinade (homemade or bottled)
1 green onion, finely chopped
1 -2 garlic clove, finely minced
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks (I used the chunks in pineapple juice, not heavy syrup)

Steps:

  • In a large zip-lock bag combine teriyaki sauce, onion, garlic, sugar, zest and a splash of pineapple juice from the chunks.
  • Add shrimp and toss to coat.
  • I let them set in the fridge all day till I was ready to skewer them to grill.
  • Be sure and soak your skewers if you are using wood!
  • Place a pineapple chuck in the curve of each shrimp and place on a skewer, going through the "head" of the shrimp, the pineapple and then the "tail".
  • I was able to get about 4 on each skewer.
  • Grill about 2-3 minutes on each side or until shrimp is pink.
  • You can baste with the marinade if you want but I did not.
  • You can also broil this if you don't have a grill.
  • I removed from the skewers for my guests but would probably serve on skewers if I had fancy ones.

1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sesame oil
12 cloves garlic, minced

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Peel shrimp leaving the final tail section intact. Devein and partially butterfly shrimp (only butterfly the area furthest from the tail, so the shrimp will stand properly in a casserole dish). Set shrimp aside.
  • Place all remaining ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Add shrimp to bowl and marinate for about 1/2 an hour, any longer may toughen the shrimp. Remove shrimp from marinade and stand each one individually in casserole dish, one behind the other, with each tail resting on the shrimp in front of it. 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • Put the shrimp and pineapple on 6 kabob skewers.
  • Set half of the teriyaki sauce aside and brush some of the remaining teriyaki sauce on the kabobs. Sprinkle with kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
