Bananas tend to be well-tolerated by many GPers. If you're tired of banana smoothies, give this recipe a try instead.

cooking spray
4 firm bananas, peeled and halved lengthwise
¼ cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 (1 inch) piece fresh ginger, grated
1 ½ teaspoons ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Arrange banana halves in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle maple syrup over bananas and top with cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Cover dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until heated through, 10 to 15 minutes.

4 large ripe bananas, unpeeled
2 tablespoons melted butter
3 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Cut off the ends of the bananas and place the unpeeled bananas on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until their skins burst and turn black. Discard the skins (once cooled a bit) and cut the bananas lengthwise.
  • Mix the melted butter, brown sugar and lemon and then drizzle it over the cooked bananas. Enjoy!

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons honey
4 small ripe bananas, cut crosswise in half
1/4 cup thawed Cool Whip Topping

Steps:

  • PREHEAT oven to 375ºF. Line 15x10x1-inch baking pan with foil; set aside.
  • Mix crushed cereal and the cinnamon on large plate.
  • Pour honey onto second plate.
  • ROLL each banana piece in honey, then in cereal mixture until evenly coated. Place in prepared baking pan.

1 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

6 tablespoons butter, chilled
whipped cream or ice cream, for serving

Steps:
