SWEET TREATS FOR DOG LOVERS
I just made this sweet treats for dog lovers inspired in the love I have for my sheltie dog Lady Bella. These treats have seasonal fruit and yummy flavors. Are made with chocolate hazelnut spread, almond butter, marshmallow spread, strawberries and edible flowers from my garden. This recipe is for human consumption not dogs.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prick sweet potato several times with a fork.
- Heat sweet potato in a microwave on high until tender, about 6 minutes. Cut potato in half and scoop flesh out of the skin into a bowl; discard skin. Mash potato with a fork or potato masher and transfer about 1 cup to a large bowl. Save any remaining sweet potato for another use.
- Mix whole wheat flour, applesauce, and eggs in the large bowl with the sweet potato until a dough forms. Turn dough out on a well-floured surface and roll dough to about 1/2-inch thick. Cut out shapes using a cookie cutter or cut dough into strips with a pizza cutter. Arrange cookies on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake until crisp, 35 to 45 minutes. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.

25 HUMAN FOODS THAT ARE GOOD TO USE AS DOG TREATS AND DOG …
From dogs.thefuntimesguide.com
- Apples – Usually, I cut a whole apple into several “slices” and dole out the slices one by one over several days, or stuff them inside their treat toys.
- Bananas – They’re SO squishy and gooey, and they increase the amount of time that my dogs play with their treat toys.
- Baby Food – If it’s healthy enough for babies, then it’s healthy enough for my dog. Just be sure to stick to all-natural ingredients — so they’re not ingesting any “sneaky ingredients” that aren’t safe for dogs.
- Broccoli – To keep the tiny green pieces from remaining on the floor, I don’t give them broccoli alone anymore — just stuffed inside their treat toys (or outside).
- Broth – Anytime we have leftover soups and stews, I use a strainer to separate the larger chunks of food (like onions!) from the broth, and then pour the broth into ice cube trays.
- Carrots – Are raw carrots safe for dogs? By all means, yes! Raw carrots for dogs are a great, healthy snack. Carrots are the only item on this list that qualifies as a “dog chew”, in my opinion.
- Celery – A close second to carrots in terms of the amount of abrasion (aka “natural teeth cleaning”) that celery provides.
- Cheerios – These little buggers add some nice crunch to an otherwise boring mishmash of ingredients.
