Steps:
- Bring water to boiling; remove from heat then add tea bags.
- Steep 15 minutes; discard tea bags (do not squeeze for the tea will become bitter).
- Add sugar and baking soda; stir to dissolve.
- Add to mixture the lemon juice.
- To serve: pour enough tea syrup to taste in tall iced tea glass filled with ice cubes. Fill remainder of glass with water. Enjoy!

- In a small saucepan heat the sugar and water and bring to a boil. When the sugar is completely dissolved remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Refrigerate, covered, for up to 1 week.
- Simple syrup can be used to sweeten iced tea, mint juleps or other alcohol based drinks, fruit salad, as well as a soaking liquid for in between layers of genoise cake.

TEA SIMPLE SYRUP RECIPE
Because crystallized sugar is hard to stir in to cold drinks, many people use simple syrup as an easy liquid sweetener in their iced tea recipes.

- Gather the ingredients.
- In a small saucepan, bring the water to the usual steeping temperature you'd use to steep the tea you're planning to flavor your syrup with. For example, a black tea would need boiling or nearly boiling water, but a green tea would only need simmering water.
- Steep for the usual amount of time. For example, four to five minutes for an Earl Grey simple syrup, or two to three minutes for a green tea simple syrup.
- Strain out and discard the tea leaves and bring the tea to a rolling boil over high heat.
- Stir in the sugar until it is dissolved completely.
- Reduce heat to medium and stir often, until the mixture has reduced to half its original volume, about 12 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Pour into a very clean jar with a tight-fitting lid. Keep refrigerated. The simple syrup has a shelf life of about 6 months.

- Remove peels from lemons; squeeze fruit, reserving 1/3 cup. Save remaining juice for another use., In a large saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until sugar is dissolved, 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat; add tea leaves and lemon peels. Cover and steep for 15 minutes. Strain tea, discarding tea leaves and lemon peels; stir in lemon juice. Cool to room temperature., Transfer to a container with a tight-fitting lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks., To prepare tea: In a tall glass, combine water with 1/4 cup concentrate; add ice.

SWEET TEA SYRUP MIXTURE
This is a sweet southern tea syrup . You add your water to the syrup and have ya some good ol sweet tea.. you can use more of less syrup depending on how strong you like it. And if you find it too sweet cut back on the sugar in the recipe.

- Bring Tea Bags to a Boil and let simmer 25 min pour over sugar and mix until dissolved.
- Pour 1 and 3/4 cup of syrup into 2 quart container and add enough water to make 2 quarts of tea. Store syrup in fridge up to 2 weeks.
