Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
pepper
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup sweet relish
hamburger bun

Steps:

Brown ground beef and onion. Drain grease from beef and onion mixture.
Return skillet with hamburger and onion to stove and add vinegar. Allow to evaporate.
Add pepper and ground mustard and stir well.
Add brown sugar and cook until hamburger looks 'tan'.
Add ketchup and relish and simmer until mixture has thickened.
Serve on hamburger buns.

This recipe can be made with lean ground beef or turkey. It's very easy and tastes great! It's totally customizable too. You can add more or less chili powder and brown sugar, depending how much heat and sweet you're looking for. These are a real crowd pleaser.

1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 green pepper, diced
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
15 ounces tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1 dash pepper
hamburger bun

Steps:

Brown ground beef or turkey in a medium stock pot.
Add green pepper & garlic. Saute.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer for 20 minutes, or until desired thickness is reached.
Serve on hamburger buns.
