Steps:

  • Stir soup, milk, peas, tuna and noodles in 3-quart casserole.

26 oz cream of chicken condensed soup ((family size - cream of mushroom is just as popular))
1 cup milk
10 oz tuna ((2 5 oz cans - I prefer to use albacore, packed in water))
2 cups peas ((frozen, thawed))
1/2 tsp each, salt & pepper ((or more, to taste))
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dried dill weed
1 cup cheddar cheese ((medium, shredded))
1/2 cup Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream Potato Chips

Steps:

  • Cook Your Pasta: In a large stock pot or sauce pan, cook the wide egg noodles (or your choice of pasta) according to the package instructions. Since the pasta will be baked in the casserole, and you want them to absorb some of the flavors, take roughly two minutes off the suggested cooking time to get a good al dente (firm to the bite, but cooked through) pasta texture. When the pasta is done, drain and rinse in cool water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  • While your noodles are cooking, preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). In a casserole dish or dutch oven, combine the cream of chicken, milk, tuna, peas, and seasoning: salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dill weed. Add the cooked noodles and stir all ingredients together.
  • Top with shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled Ruffles chips. Cover and bake at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for about 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling around the edges and the topping is nice and crispy. *I usually remove the cover for the last 10-15 minutes of cooking time.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

2 Tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
½ Tbsp olive oil
1 white onion, diced
1, 8-oz container baby portabella mushrooms, sliced
1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
2 1/2 cups water
2 cups whole milk (if opting for plant-based or lower-fat milks, reduce water to 2 cups)
1/4 tsp thyme, dry
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 lb (4 each, 7-oz cans) yellowfin or albacore tuna, packed in water, drained
1 cup green peas, frozen
1 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
2 Tbsp olive oil
1/5 tsp dill, dry

Steps:

  • 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside for later use. 2. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Prepare a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. 3. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk until smooth. Continue to whisk and cook until a light roux is formed. Set aside for later use. 4. Add olive oil in a large pan and heat over medium-high. Add diced onion, baby portabella mushrooms, and red bell pepper and saute until soft, about 10 minutes. 5. Add water, milk, thyme, salt, and pepper and stir to combine. Bring to a boil and lower the heat to simmer. Add the roux and stir to thicken, about 3 minutes. 6. Add cheddar cheese and stir until smooth. 7. Stir in tuna, green peas and noodles into the sauce until well incorporated. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. 8. Make breadcrumb topping by combining Panko, olive oil, and dill in a small bowl and top evenly onto the casserole. Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes, or until breadcrumbs are golden and casserole is bubbling. 9. Garnish with parmesan cheese as desired and serve with honey herb roasted carrots.

1 - 7 ounce Can Tuna, Drained (see notes for types)
1 Tablespoon Butter, unsalted
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 Tablespoon Flour
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Dash Pepper
1/4 Pound American Cheese, shredded- (about 1 cup)
1/2 cup Peas
1/3 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
1 tablespoon melted butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°
  • Prepare baking dish (approximately 1-quart casserole dish) by buttering edges or using pam spray. Set aside.
  • Place noodles, and tuna in a mixing bowl. (Flake the tune gently so the pieces are broken apart.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter on medium-high. Then add minced onion. Cook for 2 minutes until onion is translucent.
  • Add flour while constantly stirring with a whisk. Cook for 2 minutes to cook out the powdery taste and bring out the nutty rich flavor.
  • Add milk, and continue to whisk for 5-7 minutes until mixture thickens. Then add cheese, salt and pepper to taste Cook for 2-3 minutes more until all cheese has melted.
  • Remove from heat and pour over tuna and noodles. Add peas. Stir to combine.
  • Place into a buttered baking dish -- If making ahead, cover the dish with plastic, and place in the fridge. Don't place topping on until you are ready to bake it. (see notes)
  • Stir panko and melted butter together and sprinkle over tuna and noodles.
  • Bake for 20 minutes and serve.

7 ounces tuna in water
10 ounces frozen peas
10 1/2 ounces cream of mushroom soup

Steps:

  • Fill a 4.5 quart pan about two-thirds full of water, add 1 tsp salt per quart of water, and bring to a rapid boil. Add noodles and boil until al dente.
  • Meanwhile, open a 7 oz can of tuna, drain it, and break tuna into flakes. Mix with cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup milk.
  • Open 10 oz package of frozen peas and empty into colander. When noodles are done, drain them through peas in colander to thaw peas.
  • Combine everything.

10.5 ounce can cream of chicken
10.5 ounce can cream of mushroom
1 cup milk
16 ounces Velveeta cheese (shredded or cut into cubes)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, salt, and pepper each
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degress F.
