This is a rich, sweet caramel sauce that can be made at the last minute that is great on bread pudding, gingerbread, apple pie, chopped apples, ice cream, and anything else you want to put it on.

  • Bring brown sugar, butter, and milk to a gentle boil and cook until thickened, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat; add vanilla extract.

This caramel sauce is the most easy and the yummiest sauce ever! Just 3 min in microwave and that's it! Serve it with ice cream, add it in muffins, cakes, milk shakes, etc. You must make it if you are a caramel lover!

1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon water
1 cup cream

Steps:

  • Put sugar and water in the microwave proof glass dish (so you can see it and not going to burn it!) and heat it for bout 3 min till it changes the color to golden brown.
  • Or heat it till you can see the sauce start to caramelized, then take it out.
  • Slowly, pour cream into it and mix it well. Keep mixing the sauce till it become smooth and the sugar dissolves.
  • The sauce will be thick if it's chilled in the fridge. If you like the thick sauce, add half the amount cream.

  • Add all ingredients to a medium sauce pan and bring to a boil.
  • Boil gently for 5-7 minutes, until sugar is dissolved.
  • Allow to cool to room temperature.
  • Store in the refrigerator.
  • When ready to serve, microwave for a short time to make it pourable.

  • Grease the sides of a medium saucepan with oil or non-stick spray. Add butter, brown sugar, water, and salt to saucepan and cook over medium-low heat until the butter has melted.
  • Once the butter has melted bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 5-8 minutes until golden brown and thickened (keep in mind it will continue to thicken as it cools). Stir as it cooks, particularly the sides of the pan to prevent crystallization.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Stir until smooth. Add more evaporated milk if you'd like a thinner consistency.
  • Store caramel sauce in a covered container or jar in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks. Re-warm in the microwave for a few seconds, or on the stove over low heat.
