Strawberry Passion Fruit Lemonade Food

SPIKED STRAWBERRY LEMONADE

Steps:

• In a cocktail shaker, muddle the strawberries with the lemon juice and sugar until the sugar dissolves into the lemon juice and the strawberries start to break down into a chunky paste. Add the vodka and elderflower liqueur, and stir together.
• Spoon the contents of the cocktail shaker into two Collins glasses, add ice and top off with club soda. Stir. Garnish with a few strawberry slices.

PASSION FRUIT LEMONADE

Steps:

• Combine the two cups of sugar and first two cups of water in a small saucepan over high heat just until the water boils. Stir until all the sugar dissolves and remove from heat. Let cool to room temperature.
• In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the simple syrup, 2 1/2 cups lemon juice, 2 cups frozen passion fruit pulp (still frozen and broken up into chunks), 4 cups water and 4 cups ice cubes. Stir well to combine and leave in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour (up to 4). Note that it will be very strong at first; the ice will melt so that come time to serve it, the lemonade will be perfectly chilled and balanced. Stir before serving.

ICED STRAWBERRY PASSION TEA

Steps:

• Rinse and cut fresh strawberries into large pieces.
• Put water, sugar and strawberries in a pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and stir until all the sugar is dissolved.
• After the sugar is dissolved, reduce heat to a simmer and let strawberries steep in syrup for about 10 minutes, stirring often.
• Pour the syrup through cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer. Discard the strawberries or save for another use.
• Let the strawberry syrup cool and then refrigerate.
• Bring 4 cups of filtered water to a boil.
• Pour boiling water over 1 large Tazo iced passion tea bag or 8 small tea bags in a glass or heat -proof pitcher.
• Steep the passion tea for 5 minutes and remove tea bag(s).
• Let the tea concentrate cool and store in refrigerator.
• To make a iced strawberry passion tea, put ice in a 24 ounce glass.
• Pour remaining ingredients (tea, water and syrup) over ice and stir.
• To make iced strawberry passion tea lemonade use lemonade in place of water.
• To make iced strawberry & coconut passion tea latte use coconut milk in place of water.
• Garnish with strawberries, oranges, lemons or decorative ice. (optional)

SPIKED STRAWBERRY LEMONADE

Steps:

• Put 3 cups ice in a blender. Add 1/2 bottle Lemoncello, 1 cup lemonade and 1/4 cup strawberry syrup. Add more lemonade if mixture is too thick for your liking. Put a few sliced strawberries in the bottom of each glass before pouring in spiked lemonade.
• If the drink is too bitter, you may have to add a squirt more syrup.
• Feel free to blend the fresh strawberries in as well, instead of using them as a garnish.
• You can vary this reipe to suit your taste, by adding raspberry syrup and raspberries, or cranberry juice is good too. I also like to use Minute Maid Tropical Punch fruit juice in place of the one cup of lemonade added to the mix.

PASSION FRUIT LEMONADE

Steps:

• In a small pot combine 2 cups of water and the sugar. Heat over high heat just until all of the sugar has dissolved. Remove the mixture from the heat and allow it to cool.
• In a large pitcher combined the remaining water, lemon juice, passion fruit, and the sugar syrup. Mix until well combined then add ice to the top of the pitcher.
• Serve in a glass with ice and lemon wedges and enjoy.
