1 tablespoon lemon juice
5 leaves fresh basil
2 teaspoons simple syrup
3 fluid ounces bourbon
ice
3 fluid ounces sparkling water, or as needed

Steps:

Muddle strawberries, lemon juice, basil, and simple syrup together in a cocktail glass until smashed together and fragrant. Add bourbon and ice; stir to combine. Top with sparkling water.

2 cups strawberries, stemmed
2 cups sugar
5 ounces fresh basil leaves
2 cups bourbon

Steps:

In a saucepan, heat 2 cups water, the strawberries, sugar and basil over medium heat. Cook until the liquid reduces by half and the sugar dissolves.
Pour in a blender and puree until smooth. Refrigerate until cool.
Add the bourbon to the puree, then pour the mixture over ice to serve.

Strips of zest from 1 lemon
4 strawberries, washed, hulled and sliced, plus more for garnish
2 fresh basil leaves, plus more for garnish
6 ounces lemonade
8 ounces bourbon
2 ounces agave nectar

Steps:

Fill 2 ice cube trays with water. Distribute the zest among the compartments. Freeze until solid.
Muddle the strawberries in a Mason jar shaker. Slap the basil between the palms of your hands to release the oils and add to the shaker along with the lemonade, bourbon and agave nectar. Add plain ice cubes. Shake and strain in to 2 glasses filled with ice cubes with lemon zest.
Garnish with additional strawberries and basil.

3/4 ounce simple syrup
8 fresh mint leaves, plus 1 sprig, for garnish
3 lemon wedges
2 ounces bourbon

Steps:

Put the simple syrup, mint leaves and lemon wedges into a cocktail shaker and muddle them until the lemons are broken down. Add the bourbon and fill the shaker with ice; using a long cocktail spoon, stir vigorously until very cold.
Fill a rocks glass with ice and use a fine strainer to strain the drink into the glass. Put the mint sprig in the palm of one hand and gently smack it with the fingers of your other hand (this releases the oils and fragrance). Garnish the drink with the sprig and serve.

Steps:

Divide the strawberries and basil between 2 large rocks glasses. Season with a pinch of salt. Using a cocktail muddler, macerate the strawberries and basil together until the strawberries are smashed and the basil has broken up. Add 1 1/2 ounces mezcal and 1/2 teaspoon agave into each glass. Fill each glass with two ice cubes, then cover with club soda. Use a cocktail stirrer to mix.

2 ounces bourbon
Juice of 1 lime
Splash of club soda
Fresh mint sprig, for garnish
1/2 cup fresh ginger juice
1/2 cup sugar

Steps:

Muddle the quartered strawberries with the Ginger Syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add the bourbon and lime juice, fill the shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with a splash of soda, garnish with a mint sprig and whole strawberry and serve.
Combine the ginger juice and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and let cool completely. Keep covered in the refrigerator up 2 weeks.
