My family just loves this sauce on steak or chicken...just switch out the broth, depending on what you're using it on...it's so creamy, flavorful and delicious! Enjoy! All photos belong to me

Ingredients

2 Tbsp oil
1 Tbsp butter
3 - 4 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp flour
1 c heavy cream
1/2 c chicken or beef broth, for whichever meat you're serving the sauce with
salt & cracked black pepper to taste
1/2 c fresh grated parmesan
2 oz cream cheese

Steps:

1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter with oil. Add the garlic and saute for a minute or two. Add the flour and cook for about 1 more minute.
2. Pour in the broth and heavy cream and bring to a slow boil and whisk until thickened. Whisk in the cream cheese and Parmesan until smooth and creamy.
3. Serve over chicken or steak. It's delicious!

This is a different way to serve your favorite steak. The sauce is wonderful. The original recipe is said to be French Cuisine by Debra Weber and I changed it some for us, so not sure if it is still considered French. Hope you enjoy

4 New York strip steaks
4 slices French bread, toasted
4 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 green onions with tops, finely chopped
1 -2 garlic clove, minced
4 1/2 tablespoons sour cream
3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
6 -8 drops Frank's red hot sauce or 6 -8 drops jalapenos, sauce

Steps:

Preheat oven broiler.
In a skillet, melt butter over moderately low heat and cook the green onions and garlic until they are soft.
Remove skillet from the heat and whisk in the sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, red hot sauce or jalapeno hot sauce.
Taste and adjust seasoning, adding salt and pepper.
Cover and keep warm.
Grill steaks to the desired degree of doneness.
While the steaks are grilling, prepare the toasts.
Sprinkle each slice of toast with Parmesan cheese and broil for about 1 minute, until cheese is bubbly.
When steaks are done, transfer to a carving plater and allow to rest for about 1 minute.
Slice the steaks, reserving the juice.
Add the juice to the sour cream/onion/garlic sauce and stir.
To Serve:.
Place the Parmesan toast on the plates.
Arrange the steak slices on top of the toast in overlapping slices and then the remaining slices around the toast.
Put some of the sauce over the steaks and serve.

This sauce is great on steak and chips. We have it a lot through the summer in Australia. Serve with a nice crisp salad makes a wonderful meal. Dried parsley may be used in place of the fresh.

½ cup water, divided
2 tablespoons chopped garlic
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups heavy cream
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons cornstarch

Steps:

Pour half of the water into a saucepan, and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add the garlic and garlic powder, and boil until the water has almost evaporated, about 5 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix the cornstarch with the remaining water, and stir into the sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 3 minutes.
