Number Of Ingredients 6

Ingredients

2 c sifted flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/3 c shortening
3/4 c milk
green food gel or paste

Steps:

1. Preheat oven to 425F. In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk; stir until blended. Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface. Add a little bit of green gel food coloring paste and knead lightly until the color is marbled through - 8 to 10 times. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a floured cutter.
2. Bake on an ungreased baking sheet for 10 - 12 minutes.
