Steps:
- In a bowl, add ½ cup of soy sauce, ½ cup of water, 2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce, and 3 tablespoons of brown sugar. Then, mix them well.
- Push the sauté button on the instant pot. After, add ½ tablespoon of sesame oil, 4 slices ginger, and 6 cloves of garlic. Stir fry them a little bit.
- Next, add 1.5 pounds of washed party chicken wings into the pot. (The chicken wings don't need to be completely thaw. I used frozen party chicken wings.)
- After that, stir the sauce mixture well and pour into the pot.
- The following step, mix the sauce with the chicken well. After, close the lid and vent. Push the manual button to adjust time for 5 minutes at high pressure. Then, naturally release the pressure.
- In the meanwhile, cut 2 sticks of green onion into small strips.
- Lastly, add green onion and mix them. Then, use a skimmer to remove excess fat from the sauce.

Steps:
- Rinse chicken wings and pat dry. Remove tip and discard; separate each wing at the joint into 2 pieces. Place wings in a shallow dish and pour over the soy sauce, ginger, cilantro, garlic, and lemon juice. Toss well to coat; marinate, refrigerated, for 2 hours.
- Remove wings from marinade and pat dry; season with salt and pepper. In a large saute pan over medium-high heat, melt the butter in the olive oil. When the butter stops foaming, add the honey and chicken wings and fry until browned on each side, about 5 minutes. Continue cooking the wings, turning them over often to coat them as the glaze reduces. Cook until the wings are sticky and cooked through. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve.

Steps:
- Note: I had to put counts in the ingredients list for the recipe to be accepted, but this recipe works for any amount of wings.
- Cut up chicken wings into segments if necessary. Place in a suitable container for marinating.
- Mix soy sauce and lemon juice in equal parts, making enough to completely cover chicken wings in their container.
- Marinate in refrigerator overnight, but no longer than 24 hours.
- Drain wings and discard marinade.
- Arrange wings in a single layer on a baking sheet or sheet pan. Use foil if you want to save elbow grease cleaning the pan later. Depending upon the number of wings, make multiple batches.
- Place wings under preheated broiler, about 6 to 8 inches from unit.
- Broil on each side until you think you've burnt them. Really. These are best when they are very dark brown, just before they really start to burn. For my broiler, this is about 10 minutes per side.
- Be prepared to make these for every holiday party you will every attend again. Your hosts will demand it.
- Frozen chicken wing segments (thawed) seem to actually work out better than fresh. Go figure.
- Reconstituted lemon juice is fine.
SOY-BRAISED CHICKEN WINGS
Dark soy sauce along with regular soy sauce is what gives these wings their rich color. We like to use all flats but a mix with drumettes or whole wings works too.

Steps:
- Mix half of ginger, ¼ cup dark soy sauce, and 1 tsp. Five-Spice Powder in a medium bowl. Add wings; toss to coat. Cover and chill at least 1 hour and up to 8 hours.
- Heat oil in a wok or large deep-sided skillet over medium-high. Add shallot, scallions, garlic, chile, and remaining ginger and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add rock sugar, star anise, licorice root (if using), cassia, white pepper (if using), Sichuan peppercorns, and remaining 1 tsp. Five-Spice Powder and stir to combine. Pour in low-sodium soy sauce, remaining ¼ cup dark soy sauce, and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low.
- Lift chicken wings out of marinade; discard marinade. Add wings to wok and pour wine over. Stir gently, then bring to a simmer. Cover and cook over medium-low 15 minutes. Gently stir, then cover again and continue cooking until chicken is cooked through and a deep brown color, about 15 minutes longer. Using a spider or slotted spoon, transfer wings to a plate.
- Pour liquid in wok through a fine-mesh sieve into a small bowl; discard solids. Return strained liquid to wok and bring to a simmer over medium-high. Cook until sauce thickly coats a spoon, 10-12 minutes. Return chicken wings to sauce and toss to coat. Using a spider or slotted spoon, transfer to a platter. Serve with cucumbers if using.
SIMPLE BAKED SOY SAUCE GARLIC CHICKEN WINGS
I've been making this for years ! Have to give credit to my mom, it is her recipe. It's so simple and great for nights you just wanna have a hearty dinner and not have to slave in the kitchen.

Steps:
- Grab a big bowl.
- Place chicken wings in bowl.
- Coat wings with soy sauce, leaving a little puddle for them to marinate in on the bottom.
- press the garlic through a garlic press & scatter around (or chop finely).
- Grind about a teaspoon of black pepper on top.
- Throw in some cayenne if you're feeling daring, I just eyeball it.
- Cook some jasmine rice in the rice cooker, the chicken is great with it! But can also be made alone. I get mahatma jasmine rice at the grocery store, nice and cheap!
- Marinate for at least 2 hours, but keep in mind the longer it marinates. the tastier the wings will be. I like to prep it before bed and cook it the next day for dinner. Perfect!
- After marinating, preheat the oven @ 375 degrees & pop the wings in , after 30 minutes turn them over and let cook for another 30 minutes and voila! Dinner is served :).

Steps:
- Trim the excess skin and fat from chicken thigh or wing. Place the thighs or wings in a baking dish just big enough to accomodate the chicken. If you have too much space between the pieces the sugars in the sauce will burn and your evening's entertainment will consist of dish scrubbing.
- Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, onion and garlic, Pour the sauce over the chicken. Turn each piece so it is well coated and then leave it skin side up.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 - 40 minutes.
