- With a sharp knife, cut leg quarters at the joints if desired. Place in a 4-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the tomato sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar and garlic; pour over chicken., Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until chicken is tender. Freeze option: Cool chicken in sauce. Freeze in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through slowly in a covered skillet until a thermometer inserted in chicken reads 165°, stirring occasionally and adding a little broth or water if necessary.

SLOW COOKER HONEY SOY CHICKEN RECIPE
This slow cooker honey soy chicken has a deliciously rich marinade. It's a super easy dish that tastes absolutely amazing.

Steps:
- Mix the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in the slow cooker.
- Add chicken drumsticks to the slow cooker, baste them, so they are well coated.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch with the water until it forms a paste.
- Add the cornstarch mixture to the slow cooker and mix.
- Add the chicken back in and cook on high for 15 minutes or until thickened.
- Optional: Baste chicken with the sauce and place it under a grill for a few minutes to caramelize.
- Serve & Enjoy

SLOW COOKER SOY-GINGER CHICKEN

- In a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, stir together soy sauce, sugar, garlic, cilantro, ginger, 1/2 cup scallions, vinegar, coriander, and pepper. Add chicken and carrots; toss to coat. Cover, and cook on low until chicken is tender, about 6 hours. Using a large spoon, skim off and discard any fat from surface of cooking liquid.
- In a 2-cup glass measuring cup, whisk cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water. Ladle 1 cup cooking liquid into measuring cup; whisk to combine. Pour into a small saucepan, and bring to a boil; cook until thickened, about 1 minute. With slow cooker turned off, stir in cornstarch mixture. Serve chicken with white rice, and garnish with cilantro sprigs and remaining 1/2 cup scallions.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Follow step 1 (above), using a 5-quart Dutch oven or heavy pot with a tight-fitting lid instead of the slow cooker. Add 1 cup water, and cover. Transfer to oven; cook until chicken is tender, about 1 1/2 hours. Proceed to step 2 (above).

- Place the chicken thighs in an even layer in the slow cooker.
- Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, crushed red pepper, garlic, ginger, vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil and a few good grinds of black pepper in a large glass measuring cup or a medium bowl until combined. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Cover and cook on low until the chicken is cooked through and fork-tender, 6 to 8 hours. (Alternatively, cook the chicken on high for 4 hours.)
- Turn the slow cooker up to high. Whisk together the cornstarch and 2 tablespoons cold water in a small bowl to make a slurry, then mix the slurry into the sauce until combined. Submerging the sauce in the sauce as much as possible. Cover and cook on high until the sauce is thickened to the consistency of a glaze, about 30 minutes.
- Transfer the chicken and sauce to a platter. Sprinkle with the scallions and toasted sesame seeds and serve with white rice.
