SOUR CREAM AND BACON DEVILED EGGS

Steps:
- Place the eggs in a medium saucepan with enough water to cover and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat, cover and let the eggs stand in the water for 20 minutes. Pour off the hot water and fill the saucepan with cold water. Let the eggs sit in the cold water for 5 minutes. Then crack the eggshells and peel. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Halve the eggs lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and transfer them to a small bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork, stirring in the sour cream and mayonnaise. Reserve 1 tablespoon of the bacon and chives for garnish and add the remaining bacon and chives to the yolk mixture, stirring well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Scoop a spoonful of the yolk mixture into each egg white half. Sprinkle the tops with the reserved bacon and chives.

- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a bundt pan by using a paper towel to coat the inside with shortening and a light dusting of flour (or granulated sugar) over that. Avoid using butter, as the milk solids in butter will cause your cake to stick instead of release.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.
- In a stand mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
- On low speed add in the flour mixture and sour cream, alternating between the two. Add the vanilla and mix until just barely combined. Pour batter into prepared bundt pan and bake for about 80 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out completely clean.
- Let the cake cool for a few minutes before turning the cake onto a cooling rack. Wait 5-8 minutes before trying to lift the pan off of the cake. Allow to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar or the glaze of your choice and enjoy.

- 1. Preheat oven to 450F. Using a flat oven dish, pour the sour cream into the bottom of the dish. Now, you will want to break the eggs into the dish, one by one, try not to break the yolks. (you want the eggs whole)
- 2. Salt and pepper the dish lightly; then sprinkle on the chives, parsley and bread crumbs. Top with a drizzle of melted butter and bake in a 450F oven until the eggs are set to your liking.

- Slide raw eggs into this.

- Coat a 10-inch Bundt pan with shortening, then dust with flour to ensure the cake does not stick. You could also use Baker's Joy spray or cake release. Preheat your oven to 350ºF.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream together the butter and sugar for 2-3 minutes.
- Once the butter and sugar have been creamed, add in the eggs, vanilla, milk, and sour cream. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
- Add the flour, baking soda, and baking powder and slowly whisk until no clumps of flour remain in the batter. You will want to scrape along the bottom of the bowl to ensure there are none there. Be careful not to overmix.
- Add the diced strawberries and gently fold them into the batter until they are evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into the Bundt pan and bake for 45 minutes or until the cake tests done.
- Allow the cake to cool while you prepare the strawberry glaze.
- In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, 1 Tbsp milk, food coloring, and Jell-O powder until smooth. You can add more milk 1 Tbsp at a time if you would like the mixture to be thinner.
- Turn the cake out onto cake plate. Then drizzle the glaze over the top.
- Store at room temperature in an airtight container until serving.
