- Place drink mixes and sugar in large plastic or glass pitcher.
- Add water; stir until drink mixes are completely dissolved.
- Serve in 8 tall glasses over ice cubes or crushed ice.

SOUR CHERRY BRANDY (VIšNJEVAčA)
Steps:
- Destem sour cherries. Get rid of damaged ones or the ones with worms. Wash the remaining, destemmed cherries. (Optional: make sour cherry stem tea by drying the stems on a table for a few days.)
- Layer sour cherries and sugar in the jar. Start with sour cherries, then generously cover with about 4 tbsp of sugar. Repeat until you fill the entire jar.
- Pour brandy in the filled jar slowly. Pour as much brandy as the jar can take. This process may take a few minutes. (My jar took about 1.5 cups after sugar and sour cherries. Yours may take more.) If space allows, add more sugar on top, and fasten the lid.
- Take the jar outside, and leave in direct sunlight (or a place with a lot of light) for about 40 days or 6 weeks.
- Every 4-5 days take a spatula with a long handle and mix the sugar and sour cherries well. Undo the lid, take out a few cherries from the top and mix thoroughly. Return sour cherries to the jar and fasten the lid.
- After 40 days, strain the brandy into glass bottles. Keep remaining sour cherries to use in a dessert.
- Serve sour cherry brandy (višnjevača) with dessert, with coffee, or as an aperitif.
SOUR CHERRY LEMONADE

- Make the syrup: Simmercherries, granulated sugar, water,and lemon juice in a mediumsaucepan over medium heatuntil cherries are broken downand juicy and liquid is syrupy,about 30 minutes.
- Strain cherries and syrupthrough a fine sieve; discardsolids. Let cool completely.
- Make the lemonade: Fill alarge pitcher with ice. Add clubsoda, lemon juice, superfinesugar, and 1/2 cup cherry syrup;stir to combine. Garnish withfresh cherries. Divide lemonadeamong glasses.

SOUR CHERRY LEMONADE
A refreshing summer drink of sour cherries and lemonade.

- Drain one can of cherries but reserve the juice. Add that can of cherries plus the other can of cherries, with their juice, to a saucepan; stir in 1/2 cup of the sugar.
- Bring to a boil, reduce to medium, and simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Press the cherries through a sieve, discarding the solids; mix in the reserved juice from the other can of cherries and set aside to cool.
- Add the lemonade concentrate to a 2-quart pitcher, strain the cherry mixture to remove any residual solids, and add it to the lemon mixture.
- Add the other 1/2 cup of sugar, stirring well to dissolve sugar.
- Add the lemon-lime soda, mix well, taste and adjust sugar as needed.
- Fill pitcher with ice, stir.

- Combine the cherries, sugar, and flour into a bowl. Mix well.
- Transfer the berries to a baking dish
- in another bowl, combine the flour, oats, and brown sugar. Mix well.
- Add the butter and with two knives or your fingers, cut in the butter into the oat mixture so that it resembles small marbles.

CHERRY LEMONADE

- Using a juicer or food mill, juice cherries. Reserve juice.
- In a small saucepan, bring sugar and 1 cup water to a simmer. Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Pour syrup into a pitcher, and add 1 cup cherry juice, 1 cup lemon juice and 2 cups water. Chill until thoroughly cold, at least 2 hours. Serve over ice, garnished with 2 cherries.
