BOURBON BLOODY MARYS

6 cups vegetable juice (such as V8)
3 tablespoons hot sauce (such as Cholula)
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ tablespoons celery salt
Ice
1 ½ cups (12 oz.) bourbon
Celery stalks with leaves, lime wedges, and pimiento-stuffed olives, for garnish

Steps:

  • Whisk together vegetable juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire, and celery salt in a large pitcher until well combined. Cover; chill at least 4 hours or up to 24 hours.
  • Pour 1 cup vegetable juice mixture into each of 6 tall glasses filled with ice. Top each with ¼ cup (2 oz.) bourbon, and stir well to combine. Garnish as desired.

6 slices peppered bacon
3 1/4 cups tomato juice
1 1/4 cups bacon-flavored vodka (or regular vodka)
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 3 lemons)
1 tablespoon horseradish
2 teaspoons chipotle hot sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
Freshly ground pepper
6 stalks celery with leaves

Steps:

  • Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crisp, 9 to 11 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  • Meanwhile, combine the tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, horseradish, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in a pitcher; refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Pour the Bloody Mary mixture into 6 large ice-filled glasses. Add a piece of bacon and a celery stalk to each.
