- Put 4 tbsp of barbecue sauce along with the rest of the ingredients into your slow cooker. Top up with enough water to cover (roughly 1.5l). Slow cook on Low for 8 - 9 hours until very tender but not completely falling off the bone.

- Whisk the tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar, chili powder, mustard, garlic, paprika, Worcestershire, 1 1/2 tablespoons salt and 1 teaspoon pepper in the insert of a 6-quart slow cooker until smooth. - Spray inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
- Remove inner skin (membrane) from ribs and place ribs in slow cooker. Discard skin.
- Combine bbq sauce, brown sugar, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Mix well to combine and completely cover with half of the sauce.

- Rub this mixture all over both sides of your ribs .
- Arrange ribs in the slow cooker by standing them up against the wall of the pot, thicker side down and meaty side against the pot.

- Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray (or use a slow cooker liner to make clean up a breeze!).
- Take the slab of ribs and cut into individual slabs (about 2-3 ribs each). Put the ribs into the slow cooker.

- Combine the Rub ingredients in a bowl.
- Pat the ribs dry, then rub with the Rub.
- Place in slow cooker and cook on low heat for 4 hours
- I have a Hamilton Beach slow cookerand I love it because I can set the cook time and when it has finished it will automatically switch to warm.
- Meanwhile, make the BBQ Sauce by combining all the BBQ sauce ingredients in a large blender or food processor, and processing until smooth.
- I have a Blendtec blender which is a lot of blender for this recipe but it is just what I need for a lot of other recipes.
- After 4 hours cook time, drain the ribs(if necessary), and dump sauce over the top, reserving about a cup to a cup and a half for finishing.
- Cook 2 more hours until completely tender. Stir well to get the sauce well incorporated

- Trim fat from pork and pierce all over surface with a knife. Liberally season all sides with garlic salt and pepper and place in slow cooker. Pour can of pineapple tidbits and juice on top. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
- An hour or so before pork is done, prepare Pineapple Barbecue Sauce. Combine pineapple juice, garlic, ginger, jalapeño, and cilantro in a medium pot. Bring to a boi, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring every few minutes. Stir in ketchup, vinegar, honey, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and pepper. Cook on low for 15 more minutes. Remove from heat.
- Remove pork from slow cooker and place on cutting board. Discard fat, cut meat into chunks with a knife, and then shred chunks with two forks. Drain liquid from slow cooker (reserving about a cup) and add shredded meat back to crock pot. Stir in Pineapple Barbecue Sauce. You may add a splash of reserved cooking liquid if sauce seems too thick. Heat on low for 30 minutes to 1 hour or until warm.
