GARLIC PARMESAN ROASTED CHICKPEAS RECIPE BY TASTY

Garlic Parmesan Roasted Chickpeas Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: chickpeas, olive oil, garlic, italian herb, grated parmesan cheese

Provided by Crystal Hatch

Categories     Snacks

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 5

15 oz chickpeas, 1 can, drained and rinsed
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon italian herb
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Carefully dry the chickpeas. Removing the skins is optional and they will come off easily. The drier you get them, the crunchier they'll be!
  • In a medium bowl, add dried chickpeas, olive oil, garlic powder, herbs and parmesan. Toss well to coat evenly.
  • Spread chickpeas out on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  • Roast for 15-20 minutes.
  • Mix around on baking sheet and roast for additional 15-20 minutes, or until golden.
  • Cool for 5-10 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

SIMPLE GARLIC-ROASTED CHICKPEAS WITH PAPRIKA (VEGAN & GF)

Simple Garlic-Roasted Chickpeas With Paprika (Vegan & Gf) image

Sometimes the easiest recipes end up being the tastiest! This is perfect just for one or two, but see my last step if you want to make more. Can also be easily doubled. It calls for a liberal sprinkling of paprika; 2 tsp is just an estimate. This is healthy, vegan, gluten-free, and very easy to make. I love the aroma these give off when they're baking in the oven!

Provided by the80srule

Categories     Beans

Time 35m

Yield 2-3 , 2-3 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
3 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons paprika (approx, see directions)

Steps:

  • Rinse and drain the chickpeas and place them in a bowl, and chop the garlic cloves very fine, mixing the two together.
  • Add the olive oil and stir, making sure the bowl's contents are well-coated.
  • Liberally sprinkle on paprika to your liking (I like a lot.) 2 tsp is just an estimate, put on as much or as little as you like.
  • Pour into a baking dish, chickpeas will overlap.
  • Bake at 375F for 30-35 minutes, about 25 if you want them softer. Turn on the broiler for the last 5 minutes if you want crunchy chickpeas.
  • Want to make more with a bigger can? Use a 19-oz can of chickpeas, about 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil, more paprika, and 4 garlic cloves. Makes 3-4 servings that way. Doubling works too if you're making more for a group/OAMC.
