STOVE TOP® EASY SAUSAGE BAKE
Onions and peppers in an easy Italian sausage bake? That's a given. But what puts this one over the top is savory STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Add hot water to stuffing mix; stir just until moistened. Set aside.
- Cook and stir sausage in large skillet on medium-high heat until evenly browned; drain. Add peppers and onions to skillet; cook until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Spoon sausage mixture into 13x9-inch baking dish. Cover with tomato sauce and prepared stuffing.
- Bake 25 min. or until heated through.

The browned sausage adds so much flavor and you won't believe that there are only FIVE ingredients in this easy stovetop sausage stuffing recipe!

Steps:
- Dice and chop onions and celery. Set aside.
- Brown sausage in large stove top pan until fully cooked. Remove sausage from pan and place in separate bowl. Do not drain grease.
- Add onions and celery to frying pan and sauté for 3-5 minutes, using a wooden spoon to stir frequently so they do not burn.
- Add sausage back to pan. Then pour in stuffing mix and carefully mix to combine. (You can also do this in a large bowl if your pan isn't big enough).
- Add chicken broth about 1/2 cup at at time, pouring it over the whole mixture.
- Let simmer until broth runs out. Repeat adding in broth. Do not need to stir the stuffing.
- Place in oven-safe pan to keep warm or serve immediately.

- Mix all the ingredients together well and grind finely through a meat grinder.
- Knead the mixture for 5 minutes.
- Stuff the mixture into natural skins, naturine skins or silk skins.
- Thin sausages need 7 days at lukewarm room temperature to dry properly and thick sausages up to 14 days.
- Too much heat in the first 3 days can lead to fermentation.
- Either smoke twice or eat as is.

- Add hot water to stuffing mix; stir till blended. Set aside.
- Saute Italian sausage in a large nonstick skillet over med-high heat until nicely browned.
- Add vegetables to skillet, saute until crisp tender. Drain any oil in skillet.
- Place sausage mixture into a 13 x 9 pan.
- Cover with tomato sauce.
- Cover with prepared stuffing.
- Bake 25 minutes or until heated throughout.
