SANTA PANCAKES

Santa Pancakes image

"Yule" love these adorably jolly Santa pancakes as a festive way to start off your Christmas morning! Add a side of sausage and/or bacon and a cup of creamy hot cocoa filled to the brim with fluffy marshmallows or a glass of chilled, spiced eggnog for an Elf approved breakfast!

Provided by Kenyon

Categories     Breakfast

Time 40m

Yield 10 pancakes

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cups pancake mix
1 cup milk (butter milk or almond milk are great alternatives for fluffier pancakes)
2 eggs
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 lb strawberry, sliced
1 (12 ounce) bottle chocolate syrup
1 (10 ounce) bag marshmallows
1 (7 ounce) can whipped cream

Steps:

  • Heat your griddle or skillet. If you have Kenyon's All Seasons™ Grill with griddle attachment, then attach the griddle, add 1.5 cups of water to the drip tray and preheat grill to a medium heat (4 bars).
  • Mix the pancake mix and other ingredients together as directed on the box.
  • Whisk all ingredients together as directed. Don't over mix your batter, small lumps are fine.
  • Add cinnamon and vanilla to the batter.
  • Let the mix sit for a couple minutes. Next spread oil over the griddle and pour 1/2 cup of batter onto the griddle. You'll want to make larger pancakes to have room for all of Santa's accessories.
  • When the batter starts to bubble and the edges set, flip over. Repeat until remainder of the batter is finished.
  • Once your pancakes have cooled, add strawberries, sliced in half, to make Santa's hat and top with a marshmallow. Add a whipped cream beard and trim the hat. Dab on chocolate sauce to create eyes and a joyful smile.

SANTA PANCAKES

Santa Pancakes image

These festive santa pancakes are super fun to make, and perfect for a delicious Christmas breakfast. Your kids will have fun decorating these easy homemade pancakes to look just like santa! Use your favorite toppings, for example whipped cream, strawberries or bananas.

Provided by Tonje

Categories     Breakfast

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups oat milk
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons vegetable oil ((divided))
2 bananas
1 pound strawberries
1 cup blueberries
whipped cream

Steps:

  • Add the wet ingredients to a large mixing bowl, but only use 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Whisk to combine.
  • Then, add the dry ingredients to the wet. Whisk to incorporate these evenly. Avoid overmixing them; it's fine if the pancake batter has a few small lumps.
  • Add a little vegetable oil to your skillet. Warm it up over medium heat.
  • Add a ladle full of pancake batter to the skillet or frying pan. Spread it evenly across the skillet. Allow it to cook for a few minutes, until you can see that the batter is solidifying, and the bottom is turning golden brown. Then, use a spatula to flip the pancakes, and cook on the other side.
  • Proceed to cook pancakes until all batter is used. If the pancakes start sticking to the skillet, you can add a little more vegetable oil. The exact amount of pancakes you get can vary depending on how much batter you use in each pancake.
  • Prepare the fruit and toppings. Clean and slice them as required.
  • Place the pancakes on individual plates, and decorate them with your toppings. You can use images for inspiration, or just decorate them however you like.
