RUBEN'S GARLIC GRILL SAUCE
This is a grilling and broiling sauce for garlic lovers! The flavor is a tangy and garlicy. It's great on red meat, chicken, or fish, and is wonderful on prime rib! My dad has been making his 'secret' sauce for our family and friends for over 35 years. Everyone loves this sauce! Dad just passed away a month ago but his recipe lives on.

Steps:
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the garlic, and cook until the garlic has softened, and turns golden brown, about 5 minutes. Pour in the lemon juice and soy sauce, season with the black pepper and cayenne pepper. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, and continue simmering for 5 minutes.
- To use: Brush Ruben's Garlic Grill Sauce onto red meats, chicken, and fish before and during grilling. It also works well as a marinade.

- In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, chili sauce and horseradish. Spread butter over 1 side of each slice of bread. Spread sour cream mixture over unbuttered side of 2 slices; layer with cheese, sauerkraut and corned beef. Top with remaining bread, buttered side up. , In a large skillet, toast sandwiches over medium heat until bread is lightly browned and cheese is melted, 2-4 minutes on each side.

- In a bowl combine all the ingredients for the Russian Dressing, set aside.
- In a skillet, over medium heat, add oil. Once hot, add the meat and cook just until heated.
- Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread. Place the bread (butter side down) on a plate.
- Add the toppings to each sandwich: Spread the dressing, top with the meat, cheese and sour kraut. Close bread slices to create a sandwich.
- In a hot skillet, cook sandwiches over medium heat 4-6 minutes, flipping once. Cook until cheese melts and the bread is crispy.

THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING - REUBEN SAUCE - WHAT-HAVE-YOU SAUCE
This is the astoundingly good dressing that we use on our reuben sandwiches and in shrimp cocktail. Others have told me that they make it just to use as a dip, and - coming from my description in our Reuben Sandwiches Our Way (recipe # 107927): "you can call it Thousand Island or French, whathaveyou" - keep it on their table and call it What-Have-You Sauce. - In a bowl combine the mayonnaise, catsup, relishes, onion, garlic, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, and black pepper to taste. Mix well!
- Makes about 2 cups dressing.
- To store: put in a tightly covered clean glass container in fridge.
- To use: put it on reuben sandwiches, pot roast patty melts, burgers, in shrimp cocktail, on salads, or as a dip for chips, veggies, chicken nuggets, steak fingers, et cetera!
RUSSIAN DRESSING(REUBEN SAUCE)
I was watching Diners, Drive Ins and Dives last night and they visited Waddels Pub and Grill in Spokane, Washington. They were making these Reuban sandwiches and the sauce looked so good, I have tried to recreate it. I have all the ingredients he listed and have been playing with measurements. This is what I came up with(I did add one extra ingredient). Enjoy!
