- Get out the automatic dishwasher detergent. Fill the container with hot water and one to two teaspoons of automatic dishwasher detergent. Shake it up to get the detergent sudsy and then let it sit overnight.
- Reach for the baking soda. Make a paste out of baking soda and warm water. Coat the entire plastic container on the inside, cover and let it sit for a day or overnight.
- Grab the vinegar. Fill the container with warm water and 1/4 cup of vinegar. dd a few drops of dish detergent and shake. Set aside for a few hours, then rinse completely.
- Pull out the vanilla. Rub the container with vanilla and let it sit overnight. Or, put the vanilla in warm water, shake, and let it sit out overnight.
- Open up that bag of coffee beans. Coffee beans or used coffee grounds are great deodorizers. In fact, dry coffee grounds left in the refrigerator work like baking soda.
