A Healthy Frozen Yogurt Recipe with tips for how to make frozen yogurt with just four ingredients: Greek yogurt, frozen fruit, vanilla, and honey.

16 ounce bags frozen peaches ((or 4 cups fresh peaches, frozen solid))
3 heaping Tablespoons honey ((or agave nectar))
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Combine yogurt, honey and vanilla extract in a medium bowl.
  • Freeze for 1 hour.
  • Place frozen peaches in food processor or blender and blend until they reach very small chunks.
  • Add frozen yogurt to the food processor or blender with the peaches.
  • Pulse a few times more times until mixture is incorporated.
  • Transfer back to a medium bowl and refreeze for another 1-2 hours depending how hard or soft you want your frozen yogurt. Enjoy an easy, guilt-free treat!

3 Tablespoons agave nectar or honey
1/2 cup plain yogurt (non-fat or whole)
1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Steps:

  • Add the frozen peaches, agave nectar (or honey), yogurt and lemon juice to the bowl of a food processor. Process until creamy, about 5 minutes.
  • Serve the frozen yogurt immediately or transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the freezer for up to 1 month.

1 medium yellow onion, diced
1/2 cup chopped jalapeno (about 3 medium)
1 tablespoon minced garlic (about 3 medium cloves)
3 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tomatoes and green chilies
1/2 lb monterey jack cheese, shredded
2 1/2 lbs Velveeta cheese, cut in 1-inch slices
6 ounces Baby Spinach, coarsely chopped
tortilla chips, for dipping

Steps:

  • In a big pot, heat the oil over medium heat; saute the onion, jalapenos, and garlic until soft, about 3 minutes.
  • Decrease heat to low; stir in the milk, cumin, paprika, and cayenne; once the milk is warm, add in the tomatoes, Monterey Jack, and Velveeta; stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in the spinach and cook a few minutes more.
  • Serve in a bowl set on top of a warming tray or in a slow cooker set on low, with plenty of chips.

1 ½ cups low-fat evaporated milk
3 large egg yolks egg yolks
⅔ cup SPLENDA® Sugar Blend
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
6 medium (2-1/2" dia) (approx 4 per lb)s ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
2 (32 ounce) containers plain low-fat yogurt

Steps:

  • Whisk together evaporated milk, egg yolks, and SPLENDA® Sugar Blend for Baking in a medium saucepan, whisking until SPLENDA® Sugar Blend for Baking dissolves.
  • Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until mixture is near boiling and thickens slightly. Stir in vanilla. Spoon custard into a large bowl; refrigerate until cold or let stand until cooled completely, 1 to 2 hours.
  • Place peach pieces in food processor or blender; process until smooth. Combine peaches and yogurt in a large bowl; cover and refrigerate until ready to freeze.
  • Combine peach mixture and custard. Pour into freezer container of an ice cream freezer; freeze according to manufacturers instructions. Spoon frozen yogurt into a freezer-safe container; cover and freeze 1 hour or until firm.

2 cups fresh or frozen unsweetened sliced peaches, thawed
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups vanilla yogurt

Steps:

  • Place the peaches in a blender; cover and process until pureed. Set aside. , In a small saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over cold water; let stand for 1 minute. Stir in sugar. Cook and stir over low heat until gelatin and sugar are dissolved., In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, peach puree and gelatin mixture until blended. Pour into an ungreased 9-in. square dish. Cover and freeze for 3-4 hours or until partially set. , Cut into pieces and place in a large bowl; beat on medium speed until smooth. Transfer to a freezer container. Cover and freeze until firm, about 2 hours.

1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt
2 -3 tablespoons nonfat plain yogurt (OPTIONAL ~ if frozen fruit mixture needs thinning during processing, or sub 2-3 tblsp. juice)
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Combine peaches and sugar in a food processor; pulse until coarsely chopped.
  • Combine yogurt and lemon juice in a measuring cup; with the machine on, gradually pour the mixture through the feed tube.
  • Process until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides once or twice. Add 2-3 tablespoons additional yogurt, fruit juice, or water if your frozen fruit mixture needs thinning during processing!
  • Serve immediately, or place in serving dishes and store in the freezer for 30-45 minutes, for a firmer texture!
