RASPBERRY & SERRANO SANGRIA RECIPE - (4.4/5)

Raspberry & Serrano Sangria Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Provided by á-4010

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 small carton of raspberries
1 small carton of strawberries
1 lime
2 apples, granny smith and a braeburn
1 serrano pepper (more if you are daring)
1 bottle of Viognier
1/2 cup of white grape juice
1/4 cup of sugar
1 can of club soda
Mint leaves for garnish

Steps:

  • 1. Finely dice both the apples and the strawberries and then cut both the lime and the serrano pepper into fairly thick slices. 2. Layer all of the the different fruits in a tall pitcher, adding a dash of sugar in between every layer. For an interesting twist, you could use honey or agave instead of plain sugar. 3. After all of the fruit has been layered, add the sliced serrano chile and the remaining sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes. 4. Add the Viognier to the fruit and sugar mixture. 5. Add the white grape fruit juice and top it all off with the club soda. Place in the refrigerator to chill. 6. Once the sangría has chilled, bust out your favorite wine glasses. I like a lot of fruit in mine so I am not bashful about digging around for more berries. Just keep an eye out on those sliced serranos. They have a pretty respectable Scoville rating. 7. Garnish the drink with some fresh mint and serve.

CRANBERRY SANGRIA

Cranberry Sangria image

I made this up for a Thanksgiving Potluck last year. It was such a hit, I had to make a second bowl!

Provided by EmmyDuckie

Categories     Punch Beverage

Time 5m

Yield 6-10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 pints cranberry juice (100% juice is best)
2 pints orange juice
1 (750 ml) bottle red wine (I like Beaujolais, but any light fruity red wine will do.)
1 -2 orange, sliced (for garnish)

Steps:

  • Chill all ingredients.
  • Pour juices and wine into punch bowl.
  • Float orange slices on top.
  • Variations: You may adjust the proportions of juice to wine, depending on the strength and flavor profile of your particular wine.
  • This is also good with limes and lemons.
  • Ice cubes made of frozen juice are a nice addition, or you can freeze the citrus slices and use them to keep sangria cold.
  • This can be halved, doubled, tripled, etc. easily for any size group.

CRANBERRY-RASPBERRY SANGRIA

Cranberry-Raspberry Sangria image

Perfect for an adult Halloween party or for Thanksgiving. My suggestion is to use the Grand Marnier. Chilling time is not included in the prep or cook time. The recipe is originally from Southern Living.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (48 ounce) bottle cranberry-raspberry juice, cocktail
1 (750 ml) bottle dry full-bodied spanish red wine
2 tablespoons Grand Marnier or 2 tablespoons orange juice
1/4 cup sugar

1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 cup fresh cranberries or 1 cup fresh raspberry
2 cups club soda, chilled

Steps:

  • Combine first 4 ingredients in a large pitcher, stirring until sugar dissolves.

PEACH-RASPBERRY SANGRIA

Peach-Raspberry Sangria image

This is a delicious sangria! Perfect for the summer or a girlie get together! your guests will love it! I would suggest thinking twice about the vanilla bean seeds because they can be a bit of a turn off for some people since they look like little black things floating around.... and if u want to make a fuller pitcher, add a 3rd bottle of Riesling or extra fruit!

Provided by MeliBug

Categories     Punch Beverage

Time 10m

Yield 8 cups, 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 vanilla bean
2 (750 ml) bottles riesling wine
1 cup peach schnapps
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
6 tablespoons sugar
3 ripe peaches, cut into wedges or 3 use half a jar of preserved peach slices
1 cup fresh raspberry
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced

Steps:

  • Cut vanilla bean lengthwise. Scrape out the black seeds and put at bottom of pitcher. Discard the pods.
  • Combine all the other ingredients. Be careful with the liquid because the fruit will cause it to overflow if the pitcher is too full!
  • Chill sangria overnight to get maximum flavor.
  • Just before serving, add ice cubes. Try using extra raspberries to make raspberry ice cubes for an extra pretty sangria! :) Enjoy!
