Easy Chocolate Fudge image

This easy chocolate fudge recipe is made with just 3 ingredients and is full of rich chocolate flavor! A simple Christmas or holiday gift you'll love.

2 cups (12oz) semi sweet chocolate chips (do not use milk chocolate)
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Line a 9×9 square pan with parchment paper that covers the sides of the pan.
  • 2. Place the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a large bowl and microwave for one minute. Stir well to combine and allow the heat to melt the chocolate chips. If needed, microwave for another 30 seconds or so, until the chocolate is completely smooth.
  • 3. Stir in the vanilla extract, then quickly transfer the mixture to the lined pan and spread evenly.
  • 4. Refrigerate the fudge until firm, 2-3 hours.
  • 5. Cut the fudge while it's still cold (right out the the fridge) and store in an air tight container. Fudge can be stored at either room temperature or the fridge. It will be softer at room temperature.

1 (12-oz.) bag semisweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Assorted sprinkles, chopped nuts or toasted coconut flakes, for topping

Steps:

  • Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with wax paper, leaving a 2-inch overhand on two sides.
  • In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk and microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each increment, until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract then pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Using a spatula or the back of a spoon, spread the fudge into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the top of the fudge with your preferred toppings, pressing them lightly into the fudge. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for about 30 minutes or until the fudge has hardened slightly.
  • Using the wax paper overhangs, lift the fudge out of the pan and onto a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, cut the fudge into 1-inch squares and serve them immediately or store them in an airtight container at room temperature.

Steps:

  • Line an 8-by-8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil. Spray the foil with cooking spray.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk and stir until melted and smooth. Pour into the prepared baking pan and spread to even out the surface. Sprinkle on the crushed candies. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Lift the foil out of the pan and peel off the fudge. Cut into small squares.

According to the article, the color "renews your resolve", the scent "tames a sweet tooth" (the recipe for the homemade perfume is also posted), and the antioxidant "winter-proofs skin". With the fudge recipe was an explanation that vanilla will "reduce the risk of breast cancer" by inhibiting the growth and development of diseased cells in healthy tissue. SO...eat up gals! Vanilla is good for you! Note: all the cooking times are approximate.
