Super simple and very tasty. I got this recipe from my husband's cousin years ago and it has remained a favorite even with my children who don't care for pork. The onion soup adds a wonderful flavoring.

2 cups rice (Uncooked)
2 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup margarine (Cut into 4 or 5 chunks)
1 package dry onion soup mix
4 -8 center-cut pork chops (I vary number depending on how many I'm feeding)

Steps:

  • Brown pork chops in frying pan, if desired.
  • (This would be for the appearance of the pork chops only. It does not alter the taste of the recipe.) Place rice in 9 x 13 roasting pan.
  • Add water, onion soup mix and combine with rice.
  • Place the 4 or 5 chunks of margarine on top of rice.
  • Place pork chops on top.
  • Cover casserole with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

2 -3 pork chops
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup rice (instant..not regular)
1 cup hot water
1 (10 ounce) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Add salt and pepper to each pork chop.
  • Brown both sides of pork chops in the olive oil on medium heat.
  • Place the instant rice, hot water, cream of mushroom soup and salt in a 2 quart casserole dish.
  • Place pork chops on top and cover dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bale in a 375 degree oven for 45 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2/3 cup long-grain white rice
1 cup water
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes, jalapeno-flavored
2 medium sweet green peppers, halved, seeded and thinly sliced into strips
1 cup cheese, taco-blend shredded

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Season pork chops with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chops; cook until lightly browned, about 2 minutes per side. Remove skillet from heat.
  • Coat 2-1/2-quart oval baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Add rice, tomatoes, 1 cup water and remaining salt and pepper; stir to combine. Place pork chops on rice mixture; scatter green pepper over top. Cover dish with foil.
  • Bake in oven for 50 minutes or until rice is tender and most liquid has been absorbed. Remove foil from dish; sprinkle cheese over top. Bake until cheese melts, about 5 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

4 pork chops
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
1 cup milk
1 cup uncooked instant rice
½ cup butter

  • Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C).
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and brown the pork chops on both sides, 5 to 8 minutes per side. Place the chops into a 9x13-inch baking dish. 1 cup long grain white rice
4 pork chops, bone in

One 10-ounce can beef broth, plus more if needed
4 onion slices, separated into rings
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the rice and saute until it is light brown, about 5 minutes.
  • Spread the rice in a 9- by 13- by 2-inch casserole. Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and arrange them on top of the rice. Pour the broth and 2/3 cup water over the chops. Spread the onion rings over the chops and sprinkle them with the pepper. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake until the pork chops are tender, about 45 minutes.

1 pinch seasoned salt, or to taste
6 thin bone-in pork chops

10 fluid ounces water

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; cook and stir onion until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Transfer onion to a plate.

1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 green bell peppers, rings
4 slices yellow onions
2/3 cup long grain rice, par-boiled 10 minutes in lightly salted wqter and drained
1 1/2 cups canned crushed tomatoes

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Spray 2 Qt casserole with cooking spray: set aside.
  • Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper and then dredge in flour, shaking off excess.
  • Heat oil 1 minute in large heavy skillet over moderately high heat.

2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons water
⅓ cup green onions, chopped

1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (15 ounce) can green beans, drained

Steps:

  • Place the bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on paper towels and break slices into crumbles. Reserve bacon drippings.
  • Bring 1 3/4 cups water and rice to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the rice is tender and liquid has been absorbed, 20 to 25 minutes.

Steps:

  • Lay pork chops in the bottom of a 9x13 casserole dish. Pour cup of rice over them. Pour broth over the rice and pork chops. Sprinkle Italian seasoning and lemon pepper to taste. Cover casserole tightly with foil.
  • Bake at 300 degrees F for 1 hour 45 minutes - 2 hours depending on the size of the pork chops. Best to check at 1 hour 45 minutes, so as not to dry it out. Remove from oven and serve.
