MOM'S LAZY MAN COBBLER

Mom's Lazy Man Cobbler image

The easiest and most tasty cobbler ever. My mother was always able to whip up a wonderful and quick dessert thanks to this recipe.

Provided by Penny L Hall

Categories     Dessert

Time 1h15m

Yield 8-10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 cup butter
1 cup self rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (20 ounce) can peach slices in heavy syrup (or any other fruit you like. This is very good with a mix of blackberries and peaches!)

Steps:

  • Pre heat oven to 350.
  • place stick of butter in 9x13 size casserole pan and let sit in oven during preheating to melt butter.
  • Mix flour, sugar, milk and vanilla with blender until well mixed.
  • Pour batter over melted butter.
  • Pour fruit and juice evenly over batter. (My husband prefers more bread, less juice so I drain half.).
  • Bake for 1 hour.
  • Serve warm with ice cream.

QUICK APPLE COBBLER

Quick Apple Cobbler image

This is a very easy recipe made with simple basics you usually have around the house. Perfect with after-dinner coffee or office pot-lucks. My sons also like to top it with whipped cream or ice cream. Change it up a bit by substituting a can of cherries or sliced peaches for a different variety of cobbler.

POOR MAN'S PIE

This is an awesome recipe that I got from my coworker. It can be modified in many ways, including for the slow cooker. It's a simple meal of things you often already have on hand that really sticks to the bones, and it can also be a fun way to use up some leftovers.

EASY APPLE COBBLER

Easy Apple Cobbler image

Fast, easy fruit cobbler with minimal work - I found this on another website a while back and we make it all the time. You can use any canned fruit, like peaches (omit extra liquid) or canned pie filling. The dry cake mix soaks up the liquid from the fruit and the butter to make a yummy cobbler-like crust. It's a crowd pleaser right out of the oven with ice cream.

Provided by farr8304

Categories     Dessert

Time 25m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 (21 ounce) cans apple pie filling
1/4 cup water (approx) or 1/4 cup apple juice (approx)
1 (18 1/2 ounce) box yellow cake mix (dry) or 1 (18 1/2 ounce) box white cake mix (dry)
1/2 cup butter (melted)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Pour fruit (do not drain) into ungreased 8 x 8 baking pan.
  • Add juice or water to fruit (only if using pie filling instead of canned fruit in syrup).
  • Pour dry cake mix on top of fruit.
  • Top with melted butter.
  • Bake approx 20 - 30 minutes uncovered until golden brown.
