Easy Pomegranate Smoothie image

This tasty pomegranate smoothie is one of the best ways to use those bright pink seeds! It's loaded with flavor, nutrients, and protein.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup pomegranate seeds (cut and seed 1 pomegranate or buy 5 ounces seeds)
1 cup frozen pineapple
1 banana (room temperature)
1 cup ice
1/3 cup Greek yogurt*
1/2 tablespoon maple syrup

Steps:

  • Place the pomegranate seeds in the blender and blend for a few seconds until mostly liquified.
  • Add the remaining ingredients in a blender, breaking the banana into pieces. Blend until creamy and frothy, stopping and scraping down the sides as necessary.
  • Eat immediately or store 1 day in a sealed jar; if it separates, shake to re-integrate it.

1/2 cup 100% pomegranate juice, more if needed
1/3 cup + 1 Tbsp plain yogurt
1/2 teaspoon honey, or to taste
1 Tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 large frozen banana, peeled and broken in half
2 large ice cubes

Steps:

  • Layer the ingredients in the blender as listed in the ingredients list, with liquids on the bottom/closest to the blade and ice on the top.
  • Pulse until the ingredients just start to come together, then turn on to blend completely until smooth, for about 30 seconds. Scrape down the sides with a spatula if necessary, and add more pomegranate juice if needed to reach the desired consistency. Serve immediately.

½ zucchini
1 celery stalk
1 orange (,peeled)
1 frozen banana (*sliced)
1-2 cups water or milk of choice (*depending on how thin you like it)

Steps:

  • Place all of the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
  • Gradually add more water or milk for a thinner consistency. Add more frozen banana slices or ice cubes for a thicker smoothie.
