PEAR PITCHER MARGARITAS WITH CHILE-LIME RIMS
This party drink is something you'd imagine sipping at the bar of a trendy modern taqueria, except it's easy to pull off at home.

Steps:
- Peel pears and scoop out just the seeds; the slightly harder parts of the flesh will purée well. Chop into large chunks and place in the blender.
- Add lime juice, tequila, maple syrup, and 3/4 cup ice. Give everything a long whir until you have a smoothie-like consistency. Add the cilantro and pulse a few more times for green, herby flecks.
- Now let the flavors mingle in the blender while you prepare the rims.
- On a small plate, mix the chile powder, salt, and lime zest.
- Grab 4 glasses-about 6-ish ounces each. Run one of the spent lime wedges along each rim, then dip in the salt mixture, evenly coating the rim.
- Fill glasses halfway with ice, add 1-2 dashes of optional bitters, then pour 4 margaritas for 4 lucky people.
EASY PITCHER OF MARGARITAS
This recipe is great because it uses frozen concentrate limeade instead of sour mix, which I think makes them better! Sometimes sour mixes can be hit or miss, but the frozen limeade makes them consistent. Once you dump the limeade in your pitcher, just reuse the can to measure the water and the tequila. We like them much better than some restaurants here in Texas, plus the pitcher is great for entertaining instead of making individual glasses. The secret ingredient is the almond syrup. You can find the almond syrup in the coffee aisle as a flavoring in the big bottle. You can use this as a basic margarita, and add flavors to change it up: mango, strawberry, peach, etc....

Steps:
- Put all of the ingredients in a pitcher. Use the empty limeade can to measure the water (2 1/2 cans) and tequila (1 can).
- Stir to mix. I don't put ice in the pitcher since they will water down.
- Serve with or without a salted rim over ice or frozen.
- Any leftovers can be kept in the fridge.

MARGARITAS FOR A CROWD
Provided by Food Network

Time 30m
Yield 20 to 24 old-fashioned margaritas
Number Of Ingredients 5
Steps:
- Just before serving, in a half gallon pitcher combine the tequila, the minimum amount of Cointreau or Triple Sec and the lime juice. Taste and add more orange liqueur if you think your margaritas need more sweet oranginess to balance the other flavors. Remember, you're tasting it warm and undiluted; when chilled and diluted, the flavors will be mellower and the lime's tartness will be more attractive.
- Pour several tablespoons of lime juice onto a small plate and several tablespoons coarse salt onto another. Have martini glasses at hand (chill them for an extra special touch).
- As your guests ask for their margaritas, invert a glass into the plate with the lime juice to moisten rim, then lightly dip into the plate with the salt. For each drink measure 2 ounces (1/4 cup) of the margarita mixture into a cocktail shaker. If you have a 2-ounce ladle that you can keep in the pitcher, measuring goes much faster. Add ice cubes (5 cubes for 1, 8 for 2, 10 for 3). Secure the lid and top and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds. Strain into the salt crusted glasses and hand off to the lucky recipients

MARGARITAS BY THE PITCHER
A fantastic margarita without a mix. The better the alcohol, the smoother the taste (that goes without saying), but these are pretty fabulous with even fairly cheap tequila and triple sec! Serve over ice for margaritas on the rocks or make several hours ahead and freeze for amazing margarita slushies!

BEST FRESH MARGARITAS BY THE PITCHER
This is a wonderful recipe for Margaritas on the Rocks by the pitcher-full! It is best to prepare the lime-lemon juice and zests mixture before hand to allow them to meld appropriately -- Cooking time reflects refrigeration time. I discovered this in Cook's Illustrated Magazine -- just in time for summer! I have altered the ingredients to suit my personal taste. Enjoy!
