PINEAPPLE CHEESE BALL
I received this recipe from a friend at work. Love this recipe because it is delicious and works up in a few minutes. Just the right touch of sweet vs. savory. Cook time is actually refrigerator time.

SOUTHERN MADE CHEESE BALL
This delicious cheese ball was developed and modified by me, and every time I serve it I am forced to share the recipe with everyone who tastes it. I roll mine in diced green onion, pecans (or other nuts) or bacon bits before serving. Try experimenting with different types of meats and cheeses. It's a great appetizer for any party. This one will be gone first. Enjoy!

My mother-in-law gave me this recipe. It is my favorite cheese ball and I like it best on buttery round crackers.

PINEAPPLE CHEESE BALL
Pineapple lends a fruity tang to this fun and tasty appetizer. Instead of one large cheese ball, you could make two smaller ones...one to serve before a meal and one to take to a party. -Anne Halfhill, Sunbury, Ohio

PINEAPPLE CHEESE BALL
Canned pineapple gives this cheese ball a little extra flavor and sweetness. I recently brought this cheese ball to a party and even those who claim not to like pineapple were raving about how good it was and said it was "addicting". This recipe makes two cheese balls, however, you may want to only take one cheese ball to your next party and keep the second for you and your family, as I'm sure there will not be any leftovers. I typically do not roll the the cheese ball in nuts, but do so if you wish.

Steps:
- Beat cream cheese with fork until smooth.
- Gradually stir in pineapple, 1 cup pecans, green pepper, onion and salt; chill.
- Shape into ball; roll in remaining nuts.
- Refrigerate until well chilled.
- Garnish with pineapple slices, cherries and parsley.
- Makes about 40 appetizer servings.
- The green pepper gets liquid when you process it in the food processor.
- I have to blot it with a paper towel.
- When I made the ball with the low fat cream cheese I either did not drain the green pepper and pineapple well or it was the cream cheese. Ever since I have used full fat cream cheese and have not had a problem.
