HEARTY MEAT SAUCE
My grandmother fixed this for us growing up and I love it. It is a thick and hearty sauce for spaghetti or your favorite noodle! Of course the bread of choice would have to be Texas garlic bread!

Steps:
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no pink shows; drain.
- In a large pot combine browned beef and spaghetti sauce over medium heat for 5 or 10 minutes. Add yellow peppers, red peppers, canned tomatoes and mushrooms. Lower heat and simmer covered for 30 minutes, stirring every once in a while.

- Heat All-Purpose Pot over medium-high heat. Add onions, beef and pressed garlic. Cook 15-18 min or until beef is no longer pink, breaking into crumbles. Drain. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and sugar. Bring to a boil, uncovered, over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 40-45 minutes or until sauce thickens, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Place about 5 cups (1.25 L) sauce in separate freezer containers. Refrigerate up to 4 days or freeze up to 3 months.

- In a large skillet, cook the beef, peppers, celery, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender; drain. Add the mushrooms; cook for 2 minutes. , Stir in the tomatoes, tomato paste, water, bay leaf, sugar, salt, basil, oregano and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring often. Discard bay leaf. Serve sauce over spaghetti. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

- In a large skillet, cook beef and sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. , Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Stir in the tomatoes, green pepper, onion, carrots, water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until bubbly. PASTA WITH MEAT SAUCE

- Heat a large saucepan over medium heat and add the oil. When hot, add the meat and cook, without stirring, until browned, 3 to 5 minutes. Break it up with a wooden spoon, then add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring, until starting to soften, about 2 minutes. Add the tomato paste and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the wine and bring to a simmer. Add the crushed tomatoes and oregano and season with salt and pepper. Simmer until thickened and the flavors come together, about 1 hour.
- About 20 minutes before the sauce is done, bring a large pot of water to a boil and salt liberally. Drop in the pasta, give it a stir and cook until al dente according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce. Remove from the heat, toss in the cheese and serve.

- In a large skillet, brown beef and pork over medium heat until no longer pink; set aside.
- In a large skillet, warm olive oil over medium heat and saute onions and garlic until tender; add about 1/2 cup of wine; mix well.
- Add mushrooms, rosemary, oregano and thyme to skillet and add another 1/2 cup wine; saute until tender.
- Add browned meat, tomato sauce and tomato paste to mixture; simmer for 1 hour and add the remaining 2 cups of wine.

- In a large hot sauce pan, add 1 Tbsp of Olive oil, and brown ground beef and turkey, season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Put aside once browned, strain out any fat.
- Add 1 Tbsp of olive oil to large hot sauce pan. Add onion, celery, carrot, garlic, mushrooms, red peppers, haberno peppers. Stir and sautee for 2-3 minutes, until onions an celery begin to brown.
- Add tyme, rosemary, oregano, celery seed, salt and pepper. Mix well to incorperate all herbs and spices.
- Add browned meat, stirring well.
- Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and paste. Stir to completely mix.
- Add Basil and Bay leaves.
- Bring to a boil on medium high heat.
- Reduce to a simmer for 1-2 hours.
