PECAN SANDIE PRALINE BARS
Pecan Sandies meet pecan pie in these fantastic Pecan Sandie Praline Bars!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, and mix well.
- Reduce mixer speed to low. Gradually add the flour, pecans, and salt. Mix just until combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan, and press evenly into the bottom of the pan.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, butter, vanilla, and salt until thoroughly mixed. Stir in the pecans.
- Pour the topping mixture over the cookie layer.
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until the topping is set.
- Remove the pan from the oven and place on a wire rack. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top of the topping. Let the chips sit for about 5 minutes. Then spread the chocolate over the topping. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

- Preheat oven to 350°. Spray an 8-inch square pan with nonstick baking spray with flour. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add egg, beating until fully combined. Gradually add flour, pecans, salt, and vanilla, beating until combined. Press mixture into bottom of prepared pan. Bake until edges are golden brown, approximately 15 minutes. Let cool slightly. In a medium bowl, beat corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until combined; fold in pecans. Pour over cooled cookie layer. Bake until praline layer is set, approximately 35 minutes. Immediately sprinkle chocolate morsels over praline layer, and let melt. Using an offset spatula, spread melted chocolate evenly over praline layer. Let cool to room temperature before cutting.

- Arrange graham crackers in ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan.
- Place butter and sugar in sauce pan. Heat to boiling point; boil 2 minutes.
- Stir in pecans and spread evenly over crackers.
- Bake about 10 minutes.
- Cut each graham cracker in half while warm.

- Make Classic Shortbread dough, adding 3/4 cup ground pecans with the flour. Roll into two 1-inch-thick logs and chill 30 minutes. Slice into 1/2-inch-thick rounds and press a pecan into each. Brush the cookies with beaten egg and chill 30 minutes, then bake 12 to 15 minutes at 375 degrees.

What can I say except yummy! This recipe doesn't make a lot, unless you cut them into smaller pieces. Sooo good!

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spread pecans out on a baking sheet.
- Bake pecans in the preheated oven until fragrant and lightly toasted, 5 to 10 minutes. Cool completely and chop in a food processor.
- Beat butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer until creamy. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy; beat in egg yolk, vanilla extract, and salt. Slowly mix pecans into butter mixture. Stir flour into pecan mixture until dough begins to come together.
- Roll the dough into a ball and divide it in half. Roll each dough half into a 1 1/2-inch thick log. Wrap each log in wax paper and refrigerate, 4 hours to overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unwrap dough logs and cut into 1/3-inch thick slices. Transfer slices to the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden around the edges, 12 to 15 minutes.
