I absolutely love peanut butter and peanut butter pie is one of my favorites. But I'm a Registered Dietitian, so I knew just how high my original recipe was in fat and calories. I cut down on several critical things, and the resulting pie is great! -Lisa Varner, Charleston, South Carolina

Steps:
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in milk and vanilla until blended. Fold in whipped topping. Pour into crusts. Cover and freeze for 8 hours or overnight., Remove from the freezer 10 minutes before serving. Drizzle with syrup and sprinkle with peanuts. Store leftovers in the freezer.

This is an adopted recipe, but it is just like the recipe my mother used for years. Hope you all enjoy. You can use smooth or chunky peanut butter, and it will make either one large deep dish pie or two shallow pies. Cook time is if you use a baked pie crust, otherwise the only time you need to allow is at least 2 hours of chill time.

- Whip cream cheese until fluffy.
- Add the sugar and peanut butter. .
- Fold in 1/2 to 3/4 Cool Whip.
- Spoon into baked shell and refrigerate.
- To serve, top with balance of Cool Whip.
- Garnish with chopped peanuts if desired.

PEANUT BUTTER CREAM PIE
Steps:
- Using an electric mixture, fitted with the whip attachment, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the peanut butter, milk and roasted peanuts and beat well. Fold 2 cups of the whipped cream into the cheese mixture. Pour the filling into the prepared crust. Place the pie in the refrigerator and chill completely, about 2 hours. Slice the pie into 8 servings. To assemble, place 1 piece of pie on each plate. Dollop each piece of pie with the remaining whipped cream. Garnish each piece with the salted peanuts, drizzle of chocolate sauce, chocolate curls and mint.
