MARTHA STEWART'S PEANUT BUTTER GRANOLA BARS
I have made this with whatever cereal that is sitting in the cupboard and it turns out great. Just be sure to use a LARGE saucepan because you need to add all the ingredients into it at the end. I didn't..ended up with it everywhere except on the cereal!

PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP GRANOLA BARS
Easy, healthy granola bars. Can substitute semi sweet chocolate chips for the milk chocolate, or do half chocolate chips & half peanut butter chips. These hold together fairly nicely and can be frozen. Posting to keep here for safe keeping.

Steps:
- Pour your almonds in a 9×13 pan. Add wheat germ, oats, flax, chia, husks and hemp seeds and mix everything together. Pop pan into the oven for about 8 minutes at 400 degrees for a quick toast. Stir the ingredients in the pan a couple times just to make sure nothing gets overdone. When the 8 minutes are up turn off oven and pour the toasted mixture into a mixing bowl. Set aside.
- In a saucepan mix together the honey, margarine, and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly. Bring mixture to a boil and then continue to cook for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter and Nutella. Pour over the mixture you just set aside. Mix until everything is well combined. Spray a 9×13 pan and pour the granola spreading it out evenly. With a piece of wax paper protecting your hand press down firmly to compact the granola. Toss the wax paper when your done. Let cool before turning out granola on a board for cutting. Cut into 20 pieces.

PEANUT-BUTTER GRANOLA BARS
If you're tired of the commercial granola bars, give this one a try. The manager at the gym I go to recommended this recipe and a friend was kind enough to make a batch for me. Delicious. (Original source appears to be a magazine, though I don't know which one.)

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Line an 8 inch square baking pan with two criss-crossed rectangles of parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang at opposite ends.
- In a large bowl, combine oats, almonds and cranberries.
- In a small saucepan, whisk together oil, brown sugar, peanut butter, cinnamon, salt and water over low heat until the sugar has dissolved, about 5 minutes.
- Let cool slightly; whisk in egg white.
- Pour over oat mixture; stir until moistened.
- Spread evenly in bottom of pan; smooth top.
- Bake until top is firm, about 30 minutes. Note: The firm top is your best indicator that it's ready - if it's too soft the granola will be crumbly, if it's too hard it will be too brittle.
- Let cool 10 minutes.
- Lift out of pan, using paper as handles.
- Let cool completely, cut into bars with a serrated knife.

PEANUT BUTTER, NUTELLA ICE CREAM BARS
This has a layer of ice cream sandwiched between peanut buttery, hazelnutty granola. This is a good recipe to make use of some not really interesting granola. This is the ultimate in deliciousness and so easy to make. This dessert is from Chocolate american style by Lara Brody.

Made this recipe up myself after finding out I didn't have enough p.b. to make my usual p.b. granola. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. As most granola's go, feel free to add/delete ingredients to your own likes/dislikes.
