A wonderful creamy pasta in a delicious wine sauce, loaded with grilled shrimp and chicken. This recipe is similar to that of a famous steakhouse which shall remain anonymous! Don't be a 'chicken' - try it!

¼ teaspoon poultry seasoning
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
⅛ teaspoon ground white pepper
⅛ teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup milk
1 pound linguine pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ cup white wine
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
8 ounces shrimp
3 tablespoons grated Romano cheese

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the poultry seasoning, cayenne pepper, white pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Divide spice mixture in half.
  • In a small skillet, melt butter over low heat. Slowly stir in cream and milk, and 1/2 of spice mixture. Continue cooking over low heat, stirring frequently, until slightly reduced and thickened to desired sauce consistency. Remove from heat, and set aside.
  • Preheat grill to high heat. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain, and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Carefully stir in wine and remaining spice mixture. Place chicken breasts in the skillet, and cook for 16 to 20 minutes, or until no longer pink in center and juices run clear. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Lightly oil grill grate. Cook shrimp on preheated grill for 3 to 4 minutes, or until slightly opaque. Serve each chicken breast on a bed of linguine topped with grilled shrimp. Ladle generously with cream sauce. Garnish with Romano cheese, if desired. Enjoy!

Salt for pasta cooking water plus 3/4 teaspoon, divided
1 pound dry penne rigate
3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1 pound peeled, deveined large shrimp
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon Essence, divided, recipe follows
3/4 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, 1-inch diced
3/4 pound andouille sausage, diced into 1/2-inch pieces
1 tablespoon freshly chopped thyme leaves
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup yellow onion, small diced
1/2 cup green bell pepper, small diced
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 cup chicken stock
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons freshly chopped basil leaves
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme

Steps:

  • Fill a large, 1-gallon stock pot with a pasta insert, 3/4 full with water. Bring to a boil over high heat and season with salt to taste. Place the penne in the salted water and return to a boil, stirring occasionally. Cook the pasta until nearly al dente, 10 to 12 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of the pasta cooking water.
  • While the pasta cooks, set a 14-inch saute pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, swirl the pan to evenly coat with the oil. Season the shrimp with 2 teaspoons of the Essence and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Place the shrimp in the pan and sear for 1 minute per side. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside. Add another tablespoon of the olive oil to the saute pan and season the chicken breast with 2 teaspoons of the Essence and 1/8 teaspoon of the salt. Place the chicken breast in the pan and sear for 3 minutes, turning to ensure even browning. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside with the seared shrimp.
  • Place the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in the saute pan and add the sausage, onions and bell peppers. Saute, stirring occasionally, until the sausage is lightly caramelized and the onions are translucent, about 3 minutes. Add the garlic to the pan and saute for 30 seconds. Add the chicken stock to the pan and scrape with a spoon to remove any browned bits that have formed in the bottom of the pan, about 30 seconds. Add the diced tomatoes, fresh thyme, the remaining tablespoon of Essence and 1/2 teaspoon salt and cook for 2 minutes. Add the heavy cream to the pan and cook an additional 2 minutes. Return the shrimp and chicken to the pan, as well as the nearly al dente pasta and the reserved 1 cup of pasta cooking water. Continue to cook the sauce and pasta, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp and chicken are cooked through, the pasta is al dente and most of the pasta cooking water has evaporated, about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and add the basil and Parmesan. Toss to combine and serve while hot.

This shrimp and chicken pesto pasta is delicious and so easy to prep! Rotisserie chicken and frozen shrimp are married together with a homemade spinach pesto. Use spaghetti noodles or linguine.

5 lb raw shrimp
1/2 rotisserie chicken
1/2 lb linguine pasta, cooked
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
2 tbsp dried basil
4 cups fresh spinach
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp salt (more or less to taste)
1/4 cup olive oil (plus more to grease pan)
1/4 cup pine nuts (lightly toasted)
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Pick rotisserie chicken and chop into small chunks.
  • Toast pine nuts until light golden brown then set aside. (About 2-3 minutes in toaster oven)
  • Cook and drain pasta as directed on the package. Return pasta to the pot and cover to keep warm.
  • While pasta is cooking, using a food processor, blend together spinach, basil, pine nuts, garlic, salt and oil to create the pesto sauce.
  • Add pesto sauce to pasta and toss to coat. Cover again to keep warm.
  • Using a greased cast iron skillet, cook raw shrimp over medium-high heat, for 2-3 minutes on each side or until just pink then remove from heat and set aside. If your rotisserie chicken started out cold, toss the chicken in with the shrimp for the last 3 minutes to heat it up.
  • To serve, twirl pesto noodles and place several twirls onto each plate. Top with shrimp, chicken and Parmesan cheese.

1 lb (450g) shrimp (, peeled and deveined)
1 lb (450g) boneless chicken breast (, cut into bite-sized pieces)
3 tablespoons olive oil (, divided)
2 tablespoons butter
1 small onion (, chopped)
1 garlic clove. minced
1/3 cup white wine
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper (, to taste)
Ground paprika (, to taste)
Parsley for garnish ((optional))

Steps:

  • Cook the noodles according to package directions and drain.
  • Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet, cover with foil, and set aside.
  • Lightly season the shrimp with salt, pepper and paprika. Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil in the same skillet and cook the shrimp in one layer, for 1-2 minutes per side until no longer translucent and fully cooked. Don't overcook. Remove to a bowl and cover with foil.
  • In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook until golden. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Pour in the wine and reduce by half scraping the bottom to deglaze the pan. Add the cream and simmer for 2 minutes more. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and stir until smooth. Turn off the heat. Season with paprika, salt and pepper to taste.

3/4 lb. uncooked pasta (I used fettuccine)
1 lb. peeled and deveined shrimps
1 lb. skinless, boneless, chicken thighs, cut into small pieces
1 tbsp. Cajun seasoning
3 tbsp. olive oil
2 bell peppers (cut into long strips)
1 large onion (cut in half and sliced)
3/4 cup white wine
1 cup chicken broth
1 garlic clove (minced)
3/4 cup of Half & Half (or heavy cream)
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
fresh parsley (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Add the pasta to a pot of boiling water with 1 tbsp. of salt, and cook according to the package instructions, until al-dente. Drain, rinse, and set aside.
  • While the pasta is cooking, place a large, non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil, chicken, shrimp, and Cajun seasoning. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes, until the chicken and shrimp are just tender and cooked through. Remove the chicken and shrimp from the skillet.
  • To the same skillet, add the bell peppers and onions. Cook for about 5 minutes, and remove the vegetables from the skillet.
  • Add the wine and chicken broth and boil down until there is only 25% of the liquid left.

1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
¼ cup dry white wine

Steps:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Saute mushrooms until golden; remove from skillet with a slotted spoon and set aside.

This is my FAVORITE dish at Johnny Carino's in my town and this is my rendition of the recipe. My husband says it tastes exactly like theirs. I have played around with how much cayenne pepper to put in this dish because the recipe I found originally just said "to taste". For me, one teaspoon is too mild, but two teaspoons is pretty spicy. I'd put some in and do a taste test before you add more. The original recipe was in Denver's Rocky Mountain News, but I have modified it to our tastes, including leaving out the green onion and increasing the amount of the sauce. Also, the original recipe said it served 4, but we have no problem getting 6-8 servings of this. I serve it with a tossed salad and my Recipe #281657.

6 tablespoons oil
3 chicken fillets
cajun seasoning
12 ounces shelled raw shrimp
2 teaspoons garlic, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
6 ounces broccoli, cut in bite size pieces
8 ounces farfalle pasta or 8 ounces penne pasta
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Sprinkle the chicken filets with Cajun seasoning and cook in 4 Tbsp oil until done. Cut in bite size pieces.
  • Heat the remaining oil over medium heat and cook garlic, onion and broccoli for about 5 minutes. Add shrimp and chicken, and set aside.
  • Cook pasta al dente.
  • Make "Thick Bechamel Sauce With Parmesan and Sun Dried Tomatoes" (Recipe #158535).
  • Mix together pasta, shrimp/chicken and sauce.
  • Pour into greased 2 quart baking pan, the pan will be full. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and cheddar.
  • Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.

1 Cup Mixed Bell Peppers
1 Cup Heavy Cream

1 Tbsp. All-Purpose Flour
Cooked Fettuccine Pasta (from 1 box)
Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet over medium high heat, add the oil. Then add the chicken and cooked completely. Turn occasionally to cook all sides. Cook until the water starts to dissolve. Once the water has almost dissolve add 1 tbsp. of Cajun seasoning. Add the shrimp. Continue cooking until shrimp is cooked completely.
  • Remove the shrimp and chicken from the pan and set aside. Add the onions, add the minced garlic cloves, garlic, and peppers
  • Reduce the heat to low temperature. Add creamer, water, parsley flakes. Bring to boil. While whisking or stirring, add 1 tbsp. flour. Add the pasta, Toss to combine. Add in the remaining 1 tbsp. cajun seasoning, meat and shrimp. Toss to combine. Then add 1 tsp. kosher salt. Toss again and cover and bring to simmer for 5 minutes on low heat until pasta is completely cook. Top with Parmesan Cheese and serve immediately. Enjoy!

1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
2 teaspoons light soy sauce
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
8 ounces boneless skinless chicken breasts, rinsed,and patted dry,cut into 3/4 inch pieces
6 ounces angel hair pasta or 6 ounces thin spaghetti
to taste nonstick cooking spray
1 -2 teaspoon cooking oil

1 summer squash, sliced

  • Push chicken and meat from the center of the skillet.
  • Stir the sauce and add to the center of the pan.
  • Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
  • Return veggies to the skillet.
  • Stir all the ingredients together to coat with the sauce.
  • Cook and stir about 1 minute more or until heated through.
  • Serve hot chicken and shrimp mixture over pasta.

Yum! This creamy casserole is delicious and very easy to make. Don't like shrimp or chicken? Just double up on the other one. Enjoy!

1 lb pasta, cooked al dente (I use penne or rotini Smart Pasta)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
8 ounces boneless skinless chicken breasts, 1-inch cubes
2 teaspoons italian seasoning
1 cup mushroom, sliced
8 ounces shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, diced, strained with a little bit of juice left in the can
1 1/2 cups low-fat ricotta cheese
1/2 teaspoon chili pepper, crushed (add more if you like heat)
salt and pepper
1 cup low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup reduced fat parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Cook pasta as directed.
  • Heat olive oil over medium high heat in large frying pan. Add onion, garlic, chicken and Italian seasoning. Saute for 5 minutes, until chicken is no longer pink.
  • Add mushrooms and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add shrimp, tomatoes, ricotta, chili peppers and salt and pepper. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until it heats through and shrimp is just pink. Stir in pasta.
  • Pour mixture into 2 quart casserole dish. Top with cheddar and parmesan.
  • Bake uncovered at 350F for 30 minutes, until heated through.

The flavors in our easy chicken and shrimp are similar to a shrimp scampi, and you can serve the chicken and shrimp with hot cooked linguine or rice.

2 to 3 boneless chicken breast halves (or tenders, about 1 pound)
1 pound shrimp (large or jumbo, peeled)
6 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup extra-virgin​ olive oil
4 cloves garlic (smashed and minced)
1 tablespoon fresh basil (chopped, or 1 teaspoon dried leaf basil)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped, or 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes)
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon Creole seasoning (or seasoned salt blend)
For serving: cooked rice or pasta
Optional garnish: fresh parsley (chopped)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Lightly pound the chicken between sheets of plastic wrap to an even thickness. Cut the chicken into strips about 1 inch wide. If you are using chicken tenders, omit this step.
  • To devein the shrimp, draw the tip of a small, sharp knife down the back of a shrimp. Remove the dark vein or coax it out with the knife. Repeat with the remaining shrimp. Rinse the shrimp under cold running water and then pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with the olive oil.
  • When the butter stops foaming, add the garlic, basil, parsley, salt, and seasoning. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the chicken.
  • Stir the chicken for about 5 minutes until opaque and almost cooked through. Add the shrimp to the chicken and cook until opaque and pink, stirring, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Spoon the chicken and shrimp mixture over hot cooked pasta or rice for serving. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, if desired.
