A frozen Negroni cocktail, no slushy machine required. Made with gin, sweet vermouth, Luxardo bitter, and fresh orange and grapefruit juices.

Ingredients

2 ounces Letherbee gin
2 ounces sweet vermouth
2 ounces Luxardo Bitter
1 1⁄2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
1 1⁄2 ounces fresh orange juice
1 1⁄2 cups crushed ice
Garnish: frozen orange half wheels

Steps:

Put all the ingredients in a blender and process at high speed, stopping occasionally to stir the ingredients together. Continue blending at high speed, adding more crushed ice to achieve the desired consistency. Serve garnished with the frozen orange half wheels.

Place the sugar, water and sliced ginger into a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer until thick and syrupy, then removing ginger slices. Set aside to cool.
Mix together the gin, vermouth, campari, cooled ginger syrup and orange juice in a freezer-safe container.
Freeze for 2 hours, then remove and stir. Place back in the freezer for another 2-3 hours until slushy.
