Ingredients : 1 lb. swiss chard, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 2 coves garlic, 1 tablespoon tomato paste, 2 teaspoons paprika, 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 1 cup water, Salt. Preparation: Finely chop the onion and the carrot, Add them in a large saucepan with the vegetable oil and cook on medium heat until tender, Add the tomato paste and stir for 1-2 mins, Add the paprika and the red pepper flakes and stir, Add the finely chopped chard and cook until soft and tender, Add the water, Bring to a boil and cook on low heat until the carrots are fully cooked, Add the salt, stir and remove from heat. Steps:

2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
½ teaspoon garlic paste
1 bunch Swiss chard, stems removed, leaves cut into 1-inch pieces
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the chopped bacon in the skillet and cook until the fat separates from the meat. Melt the butter in the skillet. Stir in the lemon juice and garlic paste. Add the Swiss chard to the butter mixture. When the leaves begin to wilt, place a cover on the skillet and increase heat to medium-high. Allow the chard to cook while covered for about 4 minutes. Stir the chard leaves to coat with the butter mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
