Crushed. The rapid rise to success of Crush is proof that gentrification can be well-received in Pacific Beach. The all-day eatery and watering hole is open daily and features brunch food (omelets, flatbreads, sliders and more with a Mexican, Italian and Spanish flair), mimosas and breakfast beer drinks.
Jordan (JRDN) JRDN is beachfront Tower 23 Hotel's 10,000-square-foot contemporary oceanfront steak and seafood restaurant that features casually-sophisticated cuisine.
Barrel Republic. Barrel Republic's concept is unique in that it provides beer lovers the freedom to self-pour their own beer. This also allows guests the freedom sample as many as they like in the process.
Tavern at the Beach. Located in a historic building in Pacific Beach just 5 blocks away from the beach, newly-renovated Tavern is a local favorite.

The Duck Dive. This gastropub in Pacific Beach conveniently-located on Mission Boulevard draws in a ton of walk-in traffic for a good reason.
Pacific Beach Ale House. Fans of Pacific Beach Alehouse rave about the rooftop seating area and delicious beer on tap. It's a brewery that uses only premium ingredients and hops harvested around the world in their 8 signature beers.
Cass Street Bar & Grill. This is one place in Pacific Beach that draws in a mixed-age crowd all day long and well into the evening. Cass Street Bar and Grill is rarely empty with people coming for a casual drink, a game of pool or shuffleboard or perhaps a quick bite to eat.

JRDN. Located in Tower23 Hotel, JRDN combines the best parts of Pacific Beach: a lively bar scene, oceanfront dining, and fresh seafood. The minute we entered on a Friday evening, we heard the buzz of conversation competing with background music and clinking glasses.
Ambrogio15. Opened in 2016, Ambrogio15 has done so well that it’s since expanded to two more locations in San Diego County. Founded by Milan-turned-San Diego residents Giacomo Pizzigoni, Andrea Burrone, and Luca Salvi, this Italian restaurant serves some of the best and most creative pizza I’ve had in a while.
Costa Brava. Located several blocks inland, Costa Brava is a hidden jewel in PB. It’s unlikely you’d stumble upon this place since the outside is nondescript, but the interior is warm and welcoming and the food brought back great memories of our trips to Spain.
Waterbar. One of the best views in PB can be had at the Waterbar, thanks to its second-story location. Instead of looking through throngs of people, you’ll instead look straight out over the sand to see the waves rolling in.
Kono’s. There’s a reason people line up outside Kono’s long before it opens each morning: The breakfast burritos are good and cheap. Prices tend to be high in PB due to its gorgeous location, so it’s nice to know that an affordable meal can be had.
World Famous. After a morning of riding bikes along the boardwalk, we were hungry, and the closest restaurant was called World Famous. I’ll admit that the name of this restaurant bugged me.
