COPYCAT TIGER DILL SAUCE

This Creamed Horseradish Dill Sauce Recipe is a copycat version of the Tiger Dill Sauce served at Outback Steakhouse restaurants.

1/2 cup horseradish (fresh grated)
1/2 cup cream (heavy: 36 to 40% milk fat)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dill

Steps:

  • Place 1/2 cup fresh grated horseradish , 1/2 cup heavy cream, and 1/8 teaspoon salt into the bowl of a small food processor fitted with the metal blade. Pulse until thickened to the consistency of stiff whipped cream. (Do not over-beat or you will end up with butter.)
  • Scrape into a small bowl and fold in 1 teaspoon dill weed . Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight to let the flavors meld.
  • Serve with Garlic Herb-Crusted Prime Rib Roast

Steps:

  • Mix together and let sit in refrigerator for a few hours to let flavors blend together.
  • The longer it blends the better.
  • Serve with grilled steak or any beef.

¼ cup prepared horseradish
2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill (or 2 teaspoons dry dill weed)

Steps:

  • In a small bowl combine all ingredients and mix well.
  • Store refrigerated in an air-tight container for at least 4 hours before serving. Ideally, allow the flavors to mix together for a day or two before serving.

"ALMOST" OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE SHRIMP SAUCE



Plan ahead this sauce must be prepared and chilled 24 hours in advance, don't make the mistake of adding in more than 1 teaspoon of garlic as it will overpower the sauce!

1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 cup mild chili sauce (such as Heinz chili sauce)
1 tablespoon well-drained bottled prepared horseradish (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (to taste)
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice (to taste)

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in a glass bowl (adjusting to taste).
  • Cover and chill for 24 hours before serving.
  • Delicious!

Ever had the horseradish sauce at Outback? This is very similar if not the same. YUMMY! I love this with veggies and meat.

1/2 c fresh grated horseradish
1/4 tsp dill weed

1/4 c mayonnaise
1/4 c fresh grated or prepared horseradish (adjust to your liking)

Steps:

  • 1. For both recipes...mix all ingredient together and refrigerate for several hours or overnight to allow flavors to come together.
  • 2. Serve with meat or veggies...very tasty. You can also adjust the ingredients to suit your taste. I like mine a bit on the hot side.

1 -2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried dill
3 garlic cloves
3 tablespoons water
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Prepare your sauce by adding all ingredients except water to a small mixing bowl, starting with 1 Tbsp (15 ml // or the lesser end of the range if altering batch size) lemon juice. Whisk to combine. Then add only enough water to thin so it's pourable but still somewhat thick.
  • Taste and adjust flavor as needed. Add more garlic for more zing, lemon juice for acidity, and dill for a more intense herb flavor. Depending on the hummus you use, you may want to add a pinch of salt.
