1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
1 jar (16 ounces) hot fudge ice cream topping, warmed
1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine 3-3/4 cups cookie crumbs and butter. Press into a greased 13x9-in. dish. Spread with ice cream; cover and freeze until set. , Drizzle fudge topping over ice cream; cover and freeze until set. Spread with whipped topping; sprinkle with remaining cookie crumbs. Cover and freeze 2 hours or until firm. Remove from the freezer 10 minutes before serving.

This Oreo ice cream cake recipe is so delicious, refreshing and easy to make. Best of all, you don't need an ice cream maker. Whip it up, freeze and enjoy!

½ cup softened butter
2½ cups Oreo baking crumbs
40 Oreo cookies
5 egg whites
27 fl oz heaving cream
10 fl oz sweetened condensed milk (1 can)
2 oz semi sweet chocolate (chopped into small pieces)
4 tsp granular sugar

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix the Oreo baking crumbs and the butter.
  • Pour the crumb/butter mixture into a 13 by 9 inch baking pan (or larger if you want shorter ice cream squares.
  • Spread and press the crumb mixture evenly on the bottom, making sure the entire bottom is covered and packed. I use the bottom of a glass to press it all down.
  • Using a food processor, chop up the 40 cookies and set aside. If you don't have a food processor, place the cookies in a ziplock bag, close it and beat the cookies with a rolling pin.
  • Beat the egg whites with two tsp of sugar until they form peaks and set aside.
  • Beat the heavy cream (whipping cream) with 2 tsp sugar until it forms peaks.
  • In a large bowl, combine egg whites, chopped Oreo cookies, heavy cream, condensed milk and chocolate.
  • Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  • Pour the mixture over the packed Oreo crust and smooth out evenly in the pan.
  • Cover the ice cream with parchment paper and then cling or plastic wrap tightly.
  • Place the pan in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 4 hours.
  • Take the ice cream cake out about 10 minute before serving.

Steps:

  • Line a 9" Springform pan with parchment paper (pinch it in between the bottom and the outer ring for easy removal).
  • Place Oreos and melted butter in a food processor and process until smooth -- it will start to clump together.
  • Press into the bottom and about 1/2" up the sides of the Springform pan.
  • Stir together Oreo ice cream and chocolate sauce. Spread over crust and freeze for 1-2 hours until set.
  • Stir together crushed Oreo cookies and fudge sauce.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls over firm chocolate ice cream layer.
  • Spread softened ice cream over top of chocolate crumbles and smooth the top.
  • Freeze at least 6 hours or overnight before garnishing and serving.
  • Garnish with sweetened whipped cream or whipped topping, chocolate sauce and Oreos as desired.
  • Slice and serve.
  • Store leftovers in the freezer up to 3 months.

Steps:

  • Take 25 oz of cookie and cream ice cream from the freezer, and keep it outside when you start doing the preparation ( So the ice cream will be ready for a spreadable consistency ). Then take 25 Oreo cookies and open the sandwiched cookie and scrape out the cream and cookie separately (we will not use the cream in this recipe).
  • Now take the cookie (without cream) in the mixer / food processor and grind coarsely (make sure there is no big pieces or chunks). Reserve 3 tablespoon of crumbs for the top of the cake decoration. Take 4 tablespoon unsalted butter, and microwave for few seconds, until melted. Add the melted butter to the grounded cookies in the food processor, and only whip the mixer until the mixture is combined.
  • Layer 1 - Use a 2 piece cake pan ( as shown in the picture, so its easy to remove the cake apart after the cake is fully set ). Now place a round base board ( cut to the size of the cake pan) in the bottom of the cake pan and lock the pan tightly. Add the grounded cookie crumb mixture into the cake pan and spread it evenly. Use a tablespoon, and press the cookie crumb base firmly without any cracks (make sure you press the edges firmly).
  • Layer 2 -Now take the cookie and cream ice cream and spread evenly on top of the crumb base layer. Press and spread the ice cream for a even layer. Place the cake pan into the FREEZER for minimum 2 hours to SET ( or sooner until the ice cream has set / hardened , so it doesn't mix with the next layer) .
  • Layer 3 - Microwave the fudge topping for 45 seconds ( or until warm / spreadable consistency). Take the cake from the freezer, pour this fudge on the ice cream layer, and spread evenly ( slight melting of the ice cream layer is normal). Put the cake pan back into the FREEZER for 2 hour to set ( or sooner until the layers has set / hardened , so it doesn't mix with the next layer) .
  • Layer 4 - Remove the cake pan from the freezer, and spread the whipping cream evenly on top of the fudge layer.
  • Layer 5 - final decoration layer - Take the remaining Oreo cookies, and decorate it on the whipped cream as you wish. Sprinkle the reserved cookie crumbs on the top of the cream. Put the cake pan back in to the freezer for 2 hours to set completely ( or sooner until the cake has completely set).
  • Remove the cake from the freezer 15 minutes before cutting it. Use a blunt knife or straight edge spatula, and run the knife around the cake pan rim to loosen the cake, and then lift the cake with the base board ( cake pan base) slowly upward on one hand and remove the side rim separately. To cut the cake, use a long serrated knife dipped in warm / hot water before slicing the cake, and then slice it ( so the cake easily cuts till the base layer).

1 cup butter, real
4 ounces chocolate chips, semi sweet
1/2 gallon ice cream, vanilla, boxed
2/3 cup sugar
5 ounces evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate shavings
8 ounces Cool Whip

Steps:

  • Crush 24 Oreo cookies (with filling) and spread in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Drizzle cookies with 1/2 cup of melted butter (1 stick) and gently press.
  • Cut or tear away the packaging for a 1/2 gallon of vanilla ice cream. Slice the ice cream into pieces and layer over the Oreo crust you just prepared.
  • Press down again to make the ice cream layer even, cover, and freeze.
  • Melt chocolate chips along with the 2nd stick of butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the sugar and stir.
  • Add evaporated milk to the chocolate mixture and stir.
  • Cook chocolate until thick while stirring. Once thick, stir in vanilla.
  • Allow chocolate mixture to cool and spread over ice cream.

  • Take the ice cream out to soften on the counter so that it's soft enough to spread but not melted to a liquid.

  • Put ¾ of OREO cookie crumbs over ice cream.
  • Pour entire contents of warm Hot fudge over the cookie layer.
  • Spread the next container of ice cream over the cookie layer. Try to spread this layer somewhat smoothly, too.

  • Top with remaining OREO cookie crumbs.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and aluminum foil and freeze for 4 hours or up to overnight.

I've never made this but I tasted a bit, that was all that was left, and it was really good. It only has 4 ingredients and sounds super easy to make. I think you could easily substitute homemade sauce for the hershey's. I think it would be great to take to a potluck because you wouldn't have to worry about keeping it warm or making sure it doesn't spill on the way there.

  • Grease a 9x13" pan.
  • Crush the cookies, either in a food processor or put them in a plastic bag and beat the heck out of them. Layer half of the crumbs in the pan.

36 regular Oreos ((no need to separate creme filling from cookie))
7 tablespoons unsalted butter, (melted and slightly cooled)
1 container (12-14 ounces) hot fudge
1 and 1/2 containers (48 ounces EACH) cookies and cream ice cream ((so about 72 ounces total ice cream; just over 1/2 gallon))
1 container (8 ounces) whipped cream ((like Cool Whip) completely thawed (See Note 1))
Optional: 3-4 additional Oreos

Steps:

  • PREP: Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal, and set aside.
  • CRUST: In a powerful blender or food processor, blend the Oreos (don't separate cookie from cream) until they are all crumbs. Make sure to re-blend any large chunks so the crust will cut nicely. Once all in crumbs, add in the melted (and slightly cooled) 7 tablespoons butter. Stir until a thick dough forms and press that mixture into the prepared pan. Use the bottom of a 1-cup measuring cup to press the crust firmly into the bottom of the pan. No need to go up the sides of the pan.
  • ICE CREAM: Scoop the ice cream over the crust in big scoops. Use a strong silicone spatula to press down the ice cream and smooth it into an even layer. Cover the pan with foil or plastic wrap and freeze for 1-2 hours or until firm.
  • HOT FUDGE: Add the entire jar of hot fudge on top of the ice cream and, using a spatula, spread the fudge into one even layer. This takes some patience, but it will spread into an even layer. Cover the pan and return to the freezer for 1 hour.
  • FINISHING: Using a spatula, spread the completely thawed whipped topping over the bars into one smooth and even layer. If desired, crush up the 3-4 extra Oreos (blend or pulse in blender or food processor) and sprinkle the crumbs over the bars. Return to the freezer, covered, to firm up, 20-30 minutes or overnight.
  • SERVING: Let bars stand for 5 minutes at room temperature before cutting and serving. Use the overhang of parchment paper to pull the bars out of the pan. Use a hot, sharp knife (run it under hot water, dry with a towel) to make cuts into the bars.
  • STORAGE: Return any leftovers promptly to the freezer. The whipped topping doesn't thaw and re-freeze very well (it becomes icy) so try to finish the bars a few days after making them.
