SWEET ONION CASSEROLE
This wonderful combination of sweet onions, Swiss cheese, and rice is a tasty side dish for anything from grilled meats to roasted poultry. It is a favorite in our home, and you'll get rave reviews every time you serve it.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 2-quart baking dish.
- Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan, and sprinkle in the rice. Stir, reduce heat to low, and simmer the rice until it is half-cooked, about 5 minutes. Drain the rice, and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat, and cook and stir the onions until translucent but not browned, about 8 minutes. Mix the cooked onions and the butter from the skillet with the rice, and stir in the half-and-half, salt, and 1 3/4 cup of the Swiss cheese. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of Swiss cheese over the top.
- Bake uncovered in the preheated oven until the rice is tender and the top is lightly browned, about 1 hour.

- Cook rice according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute onions in butter until tender. Stir in the cheese, cream and rice. , Transfer to a 2-cup baking dish coated with cooking spray. Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown.

- Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the onion, and cook until almost tender. Stir in rice, and continue cooking until coated with oil. When onion is tender and rice begins to brown lightly, season with pepper, and pour in the broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 20 minutes.

FRENCH ONION CHICKEN CASSEROLE
French Onion Chicken Casserole is a hearty casserole recipe loaded with shredded chicken, egg noodles, onion soup mix, cream of chicken soup, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and French's crispy fried onions.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Dump the butter into a large pot over medium heat.
- Once the butter is completely melted, add the diced onions to the pot.
- Stir the onions and butter together.
- Leave the onions to cook, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown. About 12 minutes.
- Add the water and onion soup mix to the pot and whisk well.
- Add the egg noodles to the pot and push them around so that they are as submerged in the liquid is possible.
- Place a lid on the pot and leave the noodles to cook, stirring occasionally, for 7 minutes.
- After 7 minutes remove the lid and stir well.
- Add the cream of chicken soup, salt and pepper to the pot.
- Stir until all of the noodles are coated in the chicken soup.
- Add the shredded chicken to the pot and stir well again.
- Dump the chicken and noodle mixture into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Dump the shredded mozzarella and shredded parmesan into a mixing bowl.
- Add the crispy fried onions to the mixing bowl.
- Stir the shredded cheese and fried onions together.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese and fried onion mixture on top of the noodle mixture in the baking dish.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place it in the oven.
- Bake the casserole covered for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes remove the foil and continue baking uncovered for 5 minutes just to crisp up the onions.
- Remove the dish from the oven and sliced and serve the casserole immediately,

- Brown chops in oil.
- Spread rice in rectangular baking dish (11x7-inches). Add frozen vegetables. Reserve one tablespoon of dry soup mix. Sprinkle remaining soup mix over rice.
- Pour heated beef broth over rice and mix ingredients together.
- Arrange pork chops on top of rice mixture and sprinkle with reserved onion soup mix. Cover tightly with foil and bake in moderate oven (350 F) until tender (45 minutes to 1 hour), depending on thickness of chops. - Spray a 8x8" baking dish (or equivalent-sized baking dish) with nonstick spray then set aside. Place a large skillet over high heat then add butter, onions, beef broth, worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, sugar, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Bring liquid to a boil then turn heat down to just a touch above medium and simmer until onions begin to soften and broth is nearly absorbed, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
